One of the hardest parts of healing is realizing that loving someone and carrying someone are not the same thing.
Sometimes the most loving thing we can do is return responsibility to its rightful owner.
People can feel hurt by accountability.
People can feel shame when no shame was intended.
People can feel criticized when someone is simply naming reality.
That distinction changed the way I understand relationships. Today's essay explores why.

The question isn't really "should I stay or should I go."
The real question is: am I staying with myself inside this relationship?
New post is up. It's about using The BeMo Practice to get honest about the relationships in your life and find your way back to your own voice when things feel heavy.
I'd love for you to read it. π

Journaling for anxiety, healing, and real nervous system change β this is why "just journaling" never stuck, and what The BeMo Practice does differently.
Most people think it's only CBT and DBT. It holds both β but it goes so much deeper.
Underneath, it's parts work, shadow work, narrative therapy, exposure work, self-compassion, attachment theory, somatic awareness, mindfulness, and gratitude⦠woven into ONE practice.
One practice, small enough to carry. Repeated enough to become a part of you.
It moves you through the four stages of self-discovery: feel, deal, reveal, and heal.
That's why it lasts longer than talk therapy alone. You're not understanding a pattern once, out loud, in a fifty-minute hour. You're practicing a new response β until the old wound rises and you meet it with ease.
Like it's a part of you. Because it is.
I've watched it change people from every walk of life. It's built for breakthroughs.

Some of us spend years trying to convince ourselves.
Convince ourselves we're happy.
Convince ourselves it's fine.
Convince ourselves to stay.
Convince ourselves to leave.
Convince ourselves we should be grateful.
Convince ourselves we shouldn't feel this way.
But convincing is exhausting because it asks us to overpower ourselves.
Knowing is different.
Knowing doesn't need to argue.
It doesn't need a perfect explanation.
It doesn't need everyone else to agree.
It simply asks us to become quiet enough to hear what has already been true.
Knowing begins where convincing ends.
Have you ever noticed the difference?

The BeMo Need Feed
Today's need is Closeness.
Needs aren't problems to solve.
They're relationships to build.
Sometimes closeness looks like another person.
Sometimes it looks like noticing the warmth of your coffee before the first sip.
Sometimes it looks like putting your phone down.
Sometimes it looks like choosing to stay with yourself.
There are countless ways to meet the same need.
What helps you experience closeness?

If you're an overthinker who keeps searching for the right answer...
Sometimes the answer isn't something you find.
It's something you recognize.
The BeMo Practice helps you move from overthinking to emotional awareness by slowing down long enough to notice what's already true.
That's where Knowing begins.
Some days it happens while journaling.
Some days while walking.
Some days in conversation.
Some days over coffee.
However you practice, the goal isn't to think harder.
It's to build a relationship with yourself that you can trust.
π What helps you quiet the noise enough to hear yourself?

If you're learning how to stop abandoning yourself...
Know yourself.
Meet yourself.
Choose yourself.
Those three things don't happen all at once.
First, you begin noticing your patterns.
Then you become curious about them.
Eventually, you learn to respond to yourself differently.
That's why The BeMo Practice isn't about becoming someone new.
It's about building a relationship with the person who has been there all along.
π What's one way you're choosing yourself today?

If you're working on emotional healing, understanding your feelings, or changing repeating patterns...
The BeMo Journal is one way to enter The BeMo Practice.
Some days you'll write.
Some days you'll reflect.
Some days you'll use it as self-talk.
Some days you'll meditate with it.
Some days you'll carry a single question with you throughout the day.
Because The BeMo Practice isn't about becoming a better journaler.
It's about building emotional awareness, understanding your needs, and creating a relationship with yourself that changes how you meet everyday life.
Write it.
Speak it.
Reflect on it.
Meditate with it.
Or practice alongside us through our community and courses.
However you practice, start where you are.

If you're always searching for the answer, you might miss the lesson that's already changing you.
We often think growth comes from finding the perfect insight, the right decision, or the missing piece.
But that's rarely how it happens.
Most of the time, we don't discover an entirely new truth.
We add to what we already know.
Every conversation.
Every relationship.
Every mistake.
Every feeling.
Every question we have the courage to ask ourselves.
Each one becomes another piece of our Knowing.
The goal isn't to have all the answers.
It's to notice what life is teaching you today that you didn't know yesterday.
π What have you added to your Knowing recently?

If you've been waiting until you have all the answers before making a different choice...
You might be waiting for something that never comes.
Most of us believe confidence comes first.
Then we'll set the boundary.
Have the conversation.
Leave the relationship.
Start over.
Trust ourselves.
But emotional growth rarely works that way.
Clarity often comes after the first honest step, not before it.
You don't have to see the entire path to move your life forward.
You only have to trust yourself enough to take the next step.
