Not every blonde needs toner 💝

In scenarios like this, where my guest is naturally around a level 7, I personally feel toner can sometimes be unnecessary. Once the hair is lifted to the perfect buttery blonde, adding even /0 can slightly shift the brightness and take away that “pop”

Now… this is NOT the same situation for everyone. Someone naturally darker, like a level 6 and below, will usually expose more pheomelanin (underlying warmth/red-orange pigment) during the lifting process. That’s where toning and proper formulation become important to soften and refine the warmth lifted.

This is why consultations matter so much. Every blonde starts with a different canvas, and educating clients on realistic results is one of the most important parts of achieving a beautiful blonde 🎨
