APPRECIATION POST: Marin Misoda of MySoda Productions

Four years ago, I had a dream to make a course for parents about navigating the IEP and Special Education process. As an advocate, I love sharing content and teaching parents everything I know.

Then Covid hit and I decided to hold Zoom workshops instead. I truly enjoyed it and the helpful feedback I received from parents helped me create what is now known as the IEP Insider Course©️.

When I researched course creation, I knew I couldn’t do it alone. I needed help with every aspect of it! This spring, I texted my talented friend Marin, an experienced video content expert, creator, editor, and montage specialist, and asked her if she could film me and help me with the slides. Marin has created many memorable slideshows for me in the past for special occasions.

The first time we recorded the course, Marin was honest with me because it didn’t turn out exactly how we both envisioned it. She graciously offered to record me again (not an easy feat)!

A month later, we knew immediately it was different. Marin spent hours recording, directing me, making sure the lighting and sound quality was good, matched slides to the audio, and reminded me to keep up my energy right until the end.

I can’t imagine how the course would’ve turned out if it wasn’t for Marin’s expertise. She is truly gifted as a video specialist/extraordinaire and I cannot recommend her services and professionalism enough! Please check out Marin’s FB page and website for more info.
