How my hair journey began. In the late 80’s my mother Ann would have Avon parties. My sister Latoya, and I would help pass out our mother’s door tags with magazines attached in clear plastic bags. I have a very distinct memory of ladies happily exchanging money when my mother would come around. I had no real concept of what makeup was at that time, but I knew it made women blush and they felt a since of importance. As early as the age of five I can remember stealing my mother’s favorite violet purple fashion fair lip stick. Along with some of her other makeup supplies. I remember placing my mother’s makeup in my backpack and heading to school that morning. A short time after I arrived I, asked to go to the restroom. My kindergarten teacher would always send us the restroom in pairs, so my class mate accompanied me. I remember showing her my makeup stash and convincing her to try it. Upon returning to class my teacher laughed hysterically. I applied lipstick to our eyelids, cheek bones, and lips. I was hoping for a different reaction more like a high five or you look beautiful today, but instead my mother was called, and the makeup in my backpack was confiscated. Those were the days! Lol


Fast forward to age of 12 years old. I grew up watching my mom’s sister Yvonne style and cut hair. I was always fascinated by time, and money women were willing to spend to look good. There were days when I would spend 12 plus hours in the beauty salon waiting patiently to be the next Diva in the chair. I looked up to Salon owner’s these women were ambitious, stylish, creative and at the top of their game. The most amazing thing to me was that these woman had the ability to turn their God given talents into financial security. I always had a genuine passion for the beauty industry, but my only hesitation was, I had already began my working career in banking and finances. At the age of 30 years old, I gathered the courage to enroll in cosmetology school. I was working for Bank of America at the time. Shortly after my enrollment in school Bank of America ended up having a company wide Layoff. It was the biggest blessing in disguise. I was able to successfully complete beauty school without the stress of work. Two years later I became a licensed Cosmetologist. I eventually discovered my passion for weaves. I started taking advanced classes with Master Stylist. Many of them were not located in my home state California, so I was required to travel. I was so hungry to acquire new skills I, wanted to learn any and everything concerning a proper Sew-in Weave. It took years of working experience before I began to develop different techniques for installing flawless flat weaves. My specialty has become developing services and products to structure healthy hair care underneath my clients weave. My Career as a cosmetologist has truly been a rewarding experience. There’s nothing more rewarding than beautifying one woman at a time. Who would have thought that my God given talents as a Hair Stylist & Makeup Artist would have allowed me to meet some of the most amazing people, and build great relationship. I would like to say a special thank you to my late mother Ann & Late Father Rickie for giving me the entrepreneurial confidence and life lessons to become the savvy business woman I am today. Fun Fact about me: I love God, I Love to dance to Afro Caribbean beats Reggaeton, and listened to trap music

I chose the name Its Her Allure because every woman is sexy in her own way. We all poses individual uniqueness, and alluring qualities. I started my business because I am passionate about giving back. I enjoy transforming every day women into something magical. My mission is to continue to offer lavish hair extensions that are not overpriced, great customer service, and cutting edge products to enhance my client’s overall salon experience. I am currently servicing clients in Antioch, California as well as Las Vegas, Nevada. The goal of my business is to eventually create a franchise. I desire to help others become business owners by streamlining the process, and supplying franchisees with resources, marketing strategies, and high end quality products to ensure their overall success. I look forward to future partnerships and offering employment opportunities within my community as my business needs expand.
