We recently scoped 20+ scalps using trichology technology at a live activation. The results exposed a clear pattern and it all came down to two things: what's in your braiding hair and how often you're washing your scalp.
Here's the breakdown:
✅ What a healthy scalp looks like under the scope:
Normal sweat, no buildup
No inflammation or irritation
Clear follicles, no blockages
This is what my scope showed. Why? I use braiding hair that's clinically tested, non-toxic, and hypoallergenic and I wash my scalp weekly. (Yes, you can wash your hair with braids in, just use a clarifying shampoo.)
❌ What most of the other scalps showed:
Biofilm, layers of product buildup sitting directly on the scalp
Caused by toxic products + skipped wash days
Left untreated, this leads to infection, pus, blood, and inflammation
