Hello everyone! My name is Irene and I'm the owner of Lice Advice LLC. Lice Advice is a new, mobile head lice treatment service that provides stress-free, professional head lice removal from the comfort of your own home.

Why did I start Lice Advice?

When I was in my early 20s and working as a nanny I had the experience of getting head lice. I had no idea I had head lice until about 1.5 months in! When I finally realized what was happening I was shocked and scrambled to find a solution to the problem.
I later realized this was an entirely normal time frame for realizing that I had head lice. Most people don't realize they have lice until about 5-6 weeks after coming into contact with head lice.

Years later I started working as a lice removal technician for a different company, which was an amazing learning experience, and I became more and more curious about understanding head lice.

I started reading articles from the NIH's National Library of Medicine and realized there were aspects of the treatment protocol being used by many businesses within the head lice removal industry that didn't align with the most up-to-date, evidence-based head lice treatment methods available.

I started Lice Advice to bring a safe, evidence-based head lice removal service to the Philly area, and to provide families with a service that is not only grounded in the latest science but also brings empathy and understanding to their situation.

I'm excited to work with families and help them achieve peace of mind through what can often be a stressful situation.
