Traveling Hands Massage Therapy
Techniques are a blend of relaxation+therapeutic styles.
Nature-inspired massage and wellness experiences 🌿 Available in-studio or in-home, creating a peaceful space to unwind, reconnect with yourself, and leave feeling restored.
💆♀️ What do I take into consideration when considering what I charge a client?
Because you’re not just paying for 60, 90, or 120 minutes on a massage table.
You’re paying for 5 years of hands-on experience, education, continuing education, and expertise that I bring into every session.
I’m certified in both relaxation and therapeutic massage, with many additional continuing education courses focused heavily on anatomy and understanding how the body works. I’m continually taking new courses because I believe there is always more to learn.
One of my five years was spent working hands-on in a physical therapy office, where I gained experience working alongside other healthcare professionals and working with a variety of physical concerns.
I’ve also completed hands-on training at an oncology center, giving me experience and education that goes beyond simply learning massage techniques in a classroom.
My education and experience go beyond the minimum requirements needed to practice massage in Minnesota.
But there’s another part of my work that isn’t always visible from the client side.
Massage is physically demanding work.
I regularly perform deep tissue and heavier-pressure work, sometimes back-to-back. My hands, wrists, forearms, shoulders, back, hips, and entire body are the tools I use to do my job.
Every appointment puts physical wear and tear on those tools.
That’s why longevity in this profession requires more than simply showing up and working harder. It requires proper body mechanics, pacing, recovery, education, and building a business that allows me to continue doing this work long-term.
And then there’s the part of my business that’s easy to overlook:
🏡 I offer mobile sessions.
When I come to your home, I’m bringing my table, linens, supplies, equipment, and everything needed to create a professional massage experience outside of a traditional office. That also means driving, loading, unloading, setting up, breaking down, cleaning, and maintaining everything between clients.
And this isn’t just a side hustle for me.
This is my career and my family’s livelihood.
My income supports myself, my husband, and our three daughters. I am the sole income earner for our household, so the money I make through this business supports an entire family—not just me.
And I also believe massage can be an investment in your overall self-care.
For some people, regular massage may help manage everyday muscle tension, soreness, stress, and discomfort before those things become more disruptive. It can be one tool alongside appropriate medical care, movement, sleep, and other healthy habits.
Sometimes investing in your body now can mean less time spent simply trying to get comfortable later.
Massage isn’t a replacement for your doctor, physical therapist, or necessary medical treatment—but it can be another piece of the bigger picture when it comes to taking care of yourself.
That’s why I don’t look at my pricing as simply “$118 for an hour.”
It reflects my education.
My experience.
My continuing education.
My physical labor.
My equipment and supplies.
My travel.
My business expenses.
My time between appointments.
And the years I’m investing into being able to do this work well—and continue doing it for many years to come.
I’m not trying to be the cheapest massage therapist you can find.
I’m building a career I can sustain while providing intentional, individualized, quality massage to the people who trust me with their bodies.
Your appointment is more than the time on the clock. 🤎

🌿 Massage isn’t one-size-fits-all.
One person may need deep, focused therapeutic work.
Another may need gentle relaxation because their nervous system has been running on overdrive.
Someone else may need a combination of both.
Even the same person may need something completely different from one appointment to the next, even when targeting the same issue.
That’s why I don’t follow a rigid routine.
I consider what you’re feeling, where you’re holding tension, how your body responds to pressure, and what you want to get out of your session.
Sometimes that means deeper work.
Sometimes it means slowing down.
Sometimes it’s a little of both.
Your body gives me information. I listen to it. 🤎

Ever wonder why I usually start your massage face up? 🌿
I like to begin with relaxation before asking your body to release deeper tension.
Starting face up gives us a chance to slow the breathing, settle the nervous system, and gently warm up areas like the neck, shoulders, chest and arms before moving into deeper work.
Once the body has had a chance to relax, I can gradually work into those deeper layers instead of immediately asking tight muscles to “let go.”
Relax first. Then work deeper.
It’s one of the ways I make therapeutic massage feel intentional—not just intense.
Want to experience the best of both worlds? Come to my studio at the Snake River Share Place or experience relaxation in your home!

✨ NEW: Stand-Alone Cupping Sessions! ✨
You’ve been able to add cupping into your massage sessions, and now I’m offering cupping as its own stand-alone service at the studio!
🫧 30 Minutes — $40
🫧 45 Minutes — $60
Cupping uses suction to gently lift the skin and underlying tissues, which can help:
• Increase local circulation
• Decrease feelings of muscle tension and tightness
• Encourage tissue mobility
• Support recovery after physical activity
• Provide a different approach to areas that feel restricted or overworked
• Promote a sense of relaxation and overall body relief
So, what happens during a cupping session?
Depending on your goals and the areas we’re working with, I may use hand-pump cupping sets, silicone cups, or a combination of both.
Cups are placed on targeted areas and/or used with gliding techniques. The amount of suction is adjusted throughout the session based on your comfort and the response of your tissues.
Cupping may leave temporary circular marks or discoloration. These are a normal result of the suction and typically fade over several days.
These sessions are studio-only and are a great option if you want focused cupping without booking a full massage.

🌿 Therapeutic Massage vs. Relaxation Massage — What’s the difference?
Both can feel amazing, but they have different goals.
💆♀️ Choose RELAXATION massage if you’re looking to:
✨ Unwind and de-stress
✨ Calm your nervous system
✨ Enjoy soothing, flowing massage
✨ Take a break from the everyday chaos
✨ Leave feeling relaxed, refreshed, and cared for
🌿 Choose THERAPEUTIC massage if you’re looking to:
✨ Work on specific areas of tension
✨ Address recurring tightness or muscle discomfort
✨ Improve mobility and range of motion
✨ Spend more focused time on problem areas
✨ Explore muscle patterns that may be contributing to tension
✨ Combine different techniques and tools based on what your body needs
So which one is “better”?
Neither! ❤️
It really depends on what your body needs that day.
And therapeutic doesn’t have to mean painful. My approach is to work with your body rather than simply digging harder into a sore spot. Relaxation is often an important part of therapeutic work, because a relaxed nervous system can make it easier to address deeper muscular tension.
Not sure which one to book?
Send me a message and we can figure it out together. 🌿
📍 Now offering studio appointments Monday–Wednesday in Pine City and mobile appointments Thursday–Friday.
✨ Your body doesn’t always need more pressure. Sometimes it needs the right kind of attention.
💚 WOW — I am seriously blown away! 💚
I put out my content session offer last night hoping to find a few people who would be willing to help me capture some new photos and videos in the studio… and you guys absolutely showed up! 🥹
I am SO incredibly appreciative of everyone who reached out, shared the post, booked, or even just offered to help. It means more to me than you know, and I’m so excited to create some beautiful content with you!
With that being said, I have officially filled all of the content session appointments I’m able to take. 🙌
Please don’t be discouraged if you didn’t get a spot this time! I received way more interest than I anticipated, so I may look at doing something similar again in the future.
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for supporting Traveling Hands Massage Therapy and helping me bring my little studio to life. 🌿💚
You guys are amazing!
