Up in Suds Handcrafted Soap

Behind the scenes update time.. looks like my last post was in 2024🫠 I’ve been putting social media on the back burner because 2025, wow, in short:

Alzheimer’s sucks. Cancer sucks. Pregnancy loss sucks. Moving and knee injuries also not great. And I’m missing our goofy pet rabbit we lost, too. (Rip Phil)

I’m still here though! Up in Suds is still alive and well. Life is hard. We all know it. But it’s also beautiful and good. And I’m grateful.

Making and selling soap rules. The Pittsburgh farmers market and small business community rules. My family and friend support system rules. And last but not least my soap customers rule and are sooo appreciated.

But it’s so tough operating a small handmade business when the ones that raised you and that you love the most need you and are in the sunsets of their lives. Priorities shift. A lot less grind and a little more go with the flow has been the way of business lately. It’s been a long season of when it rains it pours.

Hopefully, I’ll keep up with social media better soon. But maybe not.
Either way, the fires are still burning at Up in Suds.

This year will be my EIGHTH season setting up at markets around tahn and my fifth full year with the Bloomfield Saturday Market.
