Before pumpkins and candy, Halloween happened at Ireland's "gate to hell." 🎃

The entrance to Oweynagat cave in Ireland has long ties to Samhain, the Celtic festival that inspired Halloween. Around 2,000 years ago, the site came alive with firelit rituals and feasting as people marked the night when the barrier between the living and the otherworld was said to vanish.
