It's a Natural Thang began in Pittsburgh PA with a small gathering of women with or transitioning to natural hair. Our reach went from 18 to over 8 thousand!
Encourages bonding among those with natural hair by fostering a safe environment & healthy conversations with with goal of celebrating our hair and freeing our minds! A Facebook group was formed out of these meetings and membership increased rapidly! We may have started in "Steel City" but we have grown far beyond with members all across the country( New York, DMV, North Carolina, Atlanta, Chicago

I believe in giving trailblazers their flowers while we can. Before the final curtain call, I want to acknowledge my mentor in the industry, Mrs. Diane Stewart aka D. Renee.
This beautiful queen ran the first black- owned nail salon in the region in mid 90's‐ mid 00's. She trained amazing techs in the art of nail design with an emphasis on customer service, the use of quality products(no MMA), natural nail manicures, and enhancements.
I was one of D.Renee's girls, and I am FOREVER grateful for all she taught and her contribution to the community.
She is a pioneer who blazed a trail for many.
Her legacy lives on.
