Plants have been used for their medicinal properties for tens of thousands of years and these herbal compresses are my favorite thing to work with! In addition to the known benefits of a firm massage with heat, because they are soaked and steamed, you breathe in and topically absorb all the herbal goodness during your two hour session!
The main stars of the show are turmeric, believed to help ease joint discomfort and inflammation; lemongrass, which can help with pain, especially headaches; patchouli, very often used to aid in relaxation; and camphor, which is easily absorbed by the skin, with its antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and, of course, pain relief properties.

Some of you are curious about what’s inside the herbal bundles, so here it is! They are hand wrapped and filled with botanicals (turmeric, lemongrass, prai root, mango ginger, sweet flag, kaffir lime, orange, soap-pod plant, tamarind, patchouli and camphor). I filmed this after a session and you can see everything is rehydrated and still steamy! It smells so good 🥰🍃💐🌱
