A little reminder about cancellation policies… because this post says it perfectly. 🤍

When you book an appointment at Ember Salon & Spa or Harmony Beauty Studio, you aren’t just reserving a service — you’re reserving a professional’s time.

A color appointment may mean 2, 3, even 4+ hours have been set aside specifically for you. When an appointment is canceled at the last minute or becomes a no-show, that time usually can’t be filled. Unlike a product, we can’t put those hours back on the shelf and sell them tomorrow.

We completely understand that life happens. Kids get sick, emergencies come up and plans unexpectedly change — we’re human too! ❤️ Cancellation policies aren’t meant to punish anyone. They’re there to protect the livelihood of the professionals who reserved that time specifically for you.

And a quick reminder about appointment texts: Reminder texts are sent as a courtesy and should never be the only way you remember your appointment. Once an appointment is scheduled, it is the client’s responsibility to add the date and time to their own calendar and keep track of their scheduled appointments. Not receiving or overlooking a reminder text does not change the appointment or cancellation policy.

Just like a hotel room, concert ticket, flight or event reservation, your appointment time has value whether you’re able to use it or not.

We truly appreciate every client who respects our providers’ time, gives as much notice as possible when plans change, and understands why cancellation and no-show policies are necessary.

We are beyond excited to officially welcome Stacy E. Garrity, RN, MS, WHNP-BC to the Ember Salon & Spa team!

Beginning this October, Stacy will be begin offering medical aesthetics treatments at Ember, offering Botox injections, dermal fillers, and more — with plans to expand into wellness services in the future.

And when we say Stacy brings an incredible amount of experience with her, we mean it. 🤍

Stacy is a Board-Certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner with 30+ years of experience in practice, education, leadership, and aesthetic medicine. A graduate of UMass Boston and Boston College, she has spent more than two decades educating nurses, nurse practitioners and physicians across the country, including 10 + years as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Boston College’s Connell School of Nursing.

Her career has spanned high-risk obstetrics, women’s health, forensic nursing and aesthetic medicine. She has presented nationally and is a published author in the field of forensic and women’s health nursing.

In the aesthetics world, Stacy has practiced extensively in New York City and worked with practices and providers across the country, developing clinical standards, educational programs and focusing on what she is most passionate about — safe, thoughtful treatments with beautiful, natural-looking results.

What really made Stacy feel like such a perfect addition to Ember is that her philosophy aligns so beautifully with ours. This isn’t about changing the way you look — it’s about helping you feel confident, refreshed and still completely YOU.

We are so excited for this next chapter at Ember and everything Stacy will be bringing to our clients and our community.

Ashley is a cosmetology student at Plymouth South High School and will be entering her senior year this fall. As part of her co-op program, she will be continuing her education at Ember Salon, gaining hands-on experience in a professional salon environment.

Ashley has recently been approved for her Student Cosmetology License and is now accepting clients under the supervision of one of our Senior Stylists.
