Happy 5th birthday Crystal Dagger, I love you so much. To my beautiful team and friends, this beautiful group of humans who not only saw and believed in the vision, but lifted me up and stood by me in times when I thought I couldn’t keep going. Y’all are the light of my life and I am so proud and grateful for every single one of you. 🖤

Crystal Dagger’s 5th Anniversary Market was a grand success!!! Thank you so much for our biggest anniversary market yet!!!!! All of our food vendors sold out or nearly sold out and we raised over $300 for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, the Planned Parenthood and the LGBT Lifecenter!! We gave away free children’s books, hosted readings 𝐌𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐝𝐲 ♉︎ // your RVA astrologer 🪐 , raffled off gift cards with American Classic Tattoo , hosted so many beautiful small businesses new and old& raffled off a basket full of amazing goods —congrats to Nicole M’s cute family who won the raffle!! So beautiful to see our community coming together for this event. Even when times are tough remember that community is our stronghold! 💪

In honor of our dear Dolly Parton, we have added Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library to our causes that we are raising money for with our annual raffle. So far you will be winning a free haircut, a massage gift card with Alexandria Rast LMT , an amika shampoo set & waving iron, art by Artie Lamb and a labubu that I’ve been saving for y’all! Scroll to the next slide to see how you can donate online if you’d like to do so & we will be collecting cash donations at the market at our Crystal Dagger table as well.

And for those of you who don’t know Dolly’s Imagination Library helps to provide children from birth up until the age of five with books, regardless of their parents income, because Dolly wanted all children to be able to have access to books and the ability to read.

Vikki is currently renting our green wall to sell and display her amazing art! Each of these one of a kind, original paintings are available for purchase right here at Crystal Dagger! Vikki currently takes payments via Venmo and PayPal. Come to our market 9/27 from 1 to 5pm and meet the artist!

Thank you to everyone who came out to our 2nd annual Paint for Peace Night!! Congrats to our raffle winner John who won a free haircut and a set of Verb Ghost Shampoo & Conditioner. Big fat ole thank you’s to everyone who showed up to paint for a good cause & to our wonderful paint instructor Laurie Watkins!! Laurie loves to coordinate paint nights to promote mental health & wellbeing. Quite often we forget to just do things for fun, and that a little joy and community is often needed. Laurie had us all start with an origami folding activity where we wrote something we would like to achieve on the back of the paper. Then she fit it all together like a puzzle and it made something super cool.
In honor of pride month I think we will probably try to have this the last Sunday of June if we can! This was our first ever pride paint night. :) We were able to raise $125 for the LGBT Life Center 🥰 Hope to see you next year and in the future 😜
