There’s something pretty special about seeing Cate Artistry on a cheer box in the same stadium where I once stood on one myself. ❤️💙

It’s been over 26 years since my own cheer days here, and now I get to come back in a completely different season of life—as a local business owner giving back to the hometown that helped shape me.

Seeing my name on that box was definitely a little full-circle moment. 🥹 Never would that teenage cheerleader have imagined she’d one day see the name of her own business sitting on the sidelines.

Cate Artistry is so happy to support Amelia and her cheer season this year! 📣❤️💙 I hope she makes the very best memories, cheers her heart out, and someday looks back on these Friday nights with the same fondness I do.

Another little corner is coming together, and I’m loving how all of the different textures are starting to pull the vision for this space together.

We had Michaels create a textured leather frame for this beautiful piece of artwork so she would complement our two leather, studded swivel chairs. Then we added the mauve faux-fur throws to soften the leather, bring in that feminine touch, and add another layer of texture.

Leather, fur, studs, soft mauve tones and dark finishes… somehow it all just works. 🖤

When I envisioned The Beauty Lounge PNW—the home of Cate Artistry—I wanted it to feel a little moody, a little feminine, luxurious without feeling stuffy, and full of rich textures and contrast.

Piece by piece, it’s all starting to come together. And I am absolutely loving her. 🫶✨

✨ EMMY’S WEDDING DAY GLAM ✨

Can we talk about this bride and her million-dollar smile?! 😍 Emmy was such a fun bride to glam, and getting this sweet photo of her with her daughter, Sunny, makes it even better. 🤍

Wedding morning was spent at The Hidden Gem Salon in Port Angeles, where I got to work alongside the incredibly talented Samantha Richards. And if you haven’t seen Sam’s beautiful space yet, you need to! Consider this your official excuse to book one of those scalp massages she’s known for. 🫶

I had so much fun glamming up the bride, sister of the bride, flower girl, and junior bridesmaid. Such a gorgeous group of ladies and such a fun wedding morning!

Letting you in on a little secret… 🤫

Coming up on a year ago, I signed the lease on a little space that would eventually become The Beauty Lounge PNW.

At the time, I had big plans. I truly thought I’d have the doors open and everything up and running by Halloween 2025.

And then… life happened.

What we thought was going to be one of our best years yet turned into a year filled with tremendous loss. So many losses. Setback after setback. Plans changed. Timelines moved. Priorities shifted. There were moments when simply getting through what was right in front of us had to be enough.

But somewhere in the middle of all of it, I just kept plugging away.

Slowly. Quietly. One little piece at a time.

I made connections with some incredible people who genuinely wanted to see me succeed. I found people who believed in what I was trying to create, sometimes during moments when I wasn’t entirely sure I still believed in it myself.

And I kept building.

Halloween came and went.

Then I told myself, “Okay… New Year’s Day.”

That came and went, too. 😂

It’s funny how life has a way of moving at its own pace, no matter how carefully we make our plans.

There were so many times over this past year when I wondered if I could actually bring everything I had envisioned for The Beauty Lounge PNW to life.

I’m so incredibly glad I never gave up.

Because one of the biggest things this year has taught me is that life is going to happen whether we’re ready for it or not. The beautiful parts, the heartbreaking parts, the detours and the things we never saw coming.

We don’t always get to choose the timing.

But we do get to choose whether we keep going.

So when life happens…

we just keep swimming. 🐠

Maybe The Beauty Lounge PNW didn’t come together on the timeline I originally planned.

But looking around now, I think maybe it came together exactly when it was supposed to. 🤍

And we’re just getting started.
