🦈 WHITE SHARK BELLA CHECKS IN OFF LONG ISLAND, NY

Juvenile female white shark Bella measured 10 ft. 2 in. and weighed an estimated 729 lbs at the time of tagging. Over the last week alone, she has traveled more than 178 miles during her seasonal migration north. Her latest ping (June 3) placed her ~13 miles off Westhampton Beach, New York.

Over the past month, Bella has migrated from the east coast of Florida toward important summer/fall foraging habitats, where many western North Atlantic white sharks gather each year.
