I recently completed this map to commemorate a vacation four couples took together last year. I was asked to come up with something unique and one of a kind. The map idea came to me, and I designed a quick sketch, which the clients liked. The map is 44”x30”, illustrated on stretched hot press watercolor paper, using watercolor and colored pencil. The clients shared favorite photos with me, and I added a legend with keys to each place and special memory. A digital scan was done, and prints made so each couple can enjoy reflecting on their amazing time together. I am grateful they trusted me with this opportunity. It was a FUN, challenging project, and I built a relationship with the piece as it slowly came together. It could possibly be one of the top ten illustration gigs I’ve had in my long career. It reminds me how much I love creating for others. ❤️

I was asked to illustrate a Sweet gum ball to be used for a new start up company's logo. Here is the final choice that my designer friend in Indiana created. I have no idea what this company does, btw :)

I love educating through imagery, and here is a recently completed example. Very soon, these will be 2 interpretive signs installed at to show visitors the Christmas tree industry's importance in Oregon, and how those trees are grown, cared for, harvested and recycled. Photos of finished signs to come!

In 2019, I was asked to restore some very weathered artwork that someone painted a long time ago on a backyard fence. Photos here show how bad it was. It took a lot of work to clean up. Since then, my wonderful client has asked me back every summer to add more to her Garden Fence. I already know what I’m going to add next year 🌸

Old school wall-dogging! A very big job done in 3 days at the beautiful, new elementary school in Sisters, Ore. Over 70’ of painted lettering and logo in the gym, and 8 spruce trees in the library. 2 coats of paint = me painting trees 18 times in 1.5 days 😵💫!!! Lots of cutting crisp, clean lines under a tight deadline. I loved the challenge. Always do.

My deep gratitude to Mr Bob Moore. I was very sad to hear of his passing. He was truly a force of nature. I was honored to illustrate his portrait for all the Bob’s Red Mill branding. It was a pleasure to get to know him. My condolences to his family, friends, and associates.

Stopped by to wish Mr. Bob Moore a Happy 94th Birthday today! He is the man who gave me world wide exposure. I was lucky enough to create his portrait that you see on all products. We also painted a huge mural at the company headquarters that is still looking good 20 years later( I took a detail snap of the date), and those grain banners you see behind Bob and me. He has the original Bob portrait hanging in the retail shop. He is one of a kind, and a testament to eating your whole grains!😄

This is Mystic. He was a beloved best friend. My dear friend of many years lost her soul mate, and I drew this for her in the hopes it brings her happy memories.
