A little about me... my name is Michele Rushing. I am a Managing Cometologist, with 29 years of experience, and specialize in precision cutting, textured waves, dimensional coloring, highlighting and facial waxing. I started working at Gayfers Hair and Nail Salon, Montgomery Mall, in 1995 as a receptionist and worked my way up to master stylist before I moved on to being a manager/stylist at Great Looks Hair Care Center, Millbrook in 1998. In 2000 I opened Michele's in my house accepting appointments only. In 2009 I relocated my salon to Main St, Millbrook accepting appointments and walk-ins. In 2010 I moved to Short Cuts, Millbrook, taking walk ins and appointments. In 2012 I opened Michele's in my house again accepting appointments only. In 2014 I started taking walk-ins at Short Cuts also. In 2015 I went back to just accepting appointments in my home and started providing mobile services. In 2019 I started working at Ulta Beauty, Prattville, as a Benefit Wax Expert and then transferred to The Salon as a Hair Stylist. Now in 2025, I am presently working for myself again at DLS Salon and Studios, Prattville, as Hair by Michele. I am available Monday to Friday 12pm-7pm by appointment only and I am also still available for mobile services in the surrounding area.
