A Christmas activity that gets kids creating, learning, and outside, and leaves the birds with a feast. ❤️

🐦🏠 IT’S POSSIBLE!!! 🏠 🐦

Okay friends… I have officially entered the testing phase of my Build-a-Birdhouse Gingerbread House Kits and I could not be more excited. 😭❤️

This idea has been living in my head for a while, and now I’m actually holding them in my hands!!

This week, I’m giving 3 kits to 3 families to test out with their kids. They’re going to build, decorate, feed, watch, and (most importantly!) tell me what works, what doesn’t, and what would make this even more fun for your family.

Then I’ll take all of that feedback, make my final tweaks, and get these ready for YOU. 🥹

And because I’m a one-woman, small-batch business with two little boys running around… I’m opening up PREORDERS to help make that happen. ❤️

🎄 $30 per kit
🐦 Preorder now at roxysroots.com for Local Pick-up OR Shipping

Your preorder helps me cover the cost of a babysitter so I can actually sit down and make these little birdhouses for you. 😂❤️

And I LOVE that this isn't just another Christmas activity that ends up in the garbage.

You get to:

BUILD 🛠️
DECORATE 🎨
FEED 🥜
WATCH 🐦

The gingerbread house pieces are made from birdseed, so after your family has built and decorated your masterpiece, you put it outside and let the birds eat it the WHOLE THING!

Plus, each kit includes a “Who Came to Dinner?” Minnesota winter bird checklist so your kids can keep track of their backyard visitors.

It’s a gingerbread house alternative.
It’s a nature activity.
It’s a reason to get outside together.
And eventually… it becomes dinner for the birds. 🐦❤️

This is still very much a “let’s see if I can actually pull this off” Roxy’s Roots project 😂 — and I am SO excited to bring you along for it.

Preorders are officially OPEN at roxysroots.com! My intention is for you to have them by the end of November. 🌱

Thank you for helping me turn the crazy little ideas in my head into real things. ❤️

Roxy’s Roots will NOT be at pickle fest today 😢 I’ll see you next time.

Day two of the Little Falls Arts & Crafts Fair! 🍂

Today is giving major fall vibes! Cool temps, a good book in my hands, and a pumpkin spice latte. I love this time of year. ☕️📖

If you’re out enjoying the fair, stop by and say hi! I make natural swaps for healthier living from the roots up, all handmade in Princeton, MN. Think v***r rub, diaper balm, lip balm, and even breastmilk soap that helps local mamas give their “expired” milk a purpose. 🧼🌿

I’ll be here until 4 PM today!

And if you miss me here, no worries — Pease Pickle Fest is my next stop! 💚

🍊 NEW Lip Balm Scent ✨

I added my infused jojoba oil to this one for a little something extra.

✨ Golden Glow Body Oil | $10 ✨

Are you ready to make your next natural swap for healthier living? One little bottle, so many ways to use it. 🌿

My 🆕 lightweight Golden Glow Body Oil is made with calendula-infused jojoba oil, fractionated coconut oil, and vitamin E to leave skin feeling soft, smooth, and moisturized.

Think of it as a versatile staple for your everyday routine:

🌼 After-shower moisturizer — Lock in moisture while your skin is still slightly damp.
👶 A baby-oil alternative — A simple option for moisturizing little ones’ skin.
💆‍♀️ Massage oil — Perfect for a relaxing at-home massage.
🦵 Dry-skin care — Give elbows, knees, hands, and other dry areas some extra love.
✨ Everyday self-care — A lightweight way to keep your skin feeling soft and nourished.

No need for a complicated routine. Just simple ingredients and a little glow. 🤍

1 fl oz | $10

🌼 Did I mention that I grow the calendula in my own garden?! I hand pick and dry it to add that extra bit of healing into my skin loving products.
