If you know me, you know my obsession with 50s horror.

Decided to draw her because I have her up in my studio and everyone asks me who she is.

❣️Television’s first horror host and woman to have a gothic persona; most of her work was sadly destroyed after the network tried to buy out her rights.



❣️James Dean’s lover

They tried pinning her for his death; saying she used black magic smh 🙃

It was hard for her to land a role after all her critiques, she practically became homeless

🕷️ She was praised later on in her life by the emo community and bands started using her aesthetic/ voice in the late 80s



🩸Disney also hired her as the reference model for their villain, Maleficent



❣️ She helped create a newer horror host, aka Elvira. Some disputes were made, they fired her and continued production without her. But Elvira wouldn’t exist without her!

Woman in horror during this time were treated terribly but their impact was so important to the horror world. They deserve their flowers 🌹
