One year ago this week, one of my favorite weddings from last season came to life. ✨

Featured in Wedding Chicks®, this celebration was filled with bright blues and pinks, whimsical details, and a timeless elegance that felt right at home at Longwood Venues + Destinations‘s Newport Beach House.

What made it even more special were the personal touches woven throughout. Instead of traditional table names, each table was named after one of the M+W’s favorite restaurants, complete with a note sharing their go-to order and the memory behind it. It’s those thoughtful details that turn beautiful design into an experience your guests remember.

Still one of my favorite projects to look back on. 💙🩷

Event branding is so much more than creating a logo and putting it on everything.

It’s about building a visual language for your wedding. The fonts, color palette, artwork, shapes, textures, and little design details all work together so every piece feels connected.

For this wedding, featured in Style Me Pretty, it started with C and K’s custom watercolor crest inspired by the couple’s actual blooms. From there, those watercolor florals carried through the invitations, day-of details, signage, and paper goods in different ways. Not because every piece matched exactly, but because they all came from the same foundation.

Those intentional details are what make a wedding feel immersive. Guests may not be able to point out exactly why everything feels so cohesive, but they’ll remember how it felt. 🤍

While coastal weddings may be what we’re known for, they’re far from the only designs we create.

I like to think of myself as a design sponge. Every couple brings a different vision, and I love diving into their world to create something that feels completely unique to them.

For this one, that meant leaning into lush, overgrown garden vibes with pops of warm copper throughout. It was unexpected, a little wild, and so much fun to bring to life.

The best part of custom design is that no two weddings should ever feel the same.

After seeing their incredible planner New England Wedding Planner | Samantha Sheehy share photos from Emily & Dan’s wedding yesterday, I found myself back in their gallery this morning and realized there were so many favorites I’d never shared.

Two years later, and I’m still obsessed with these warm sunset tones.
