Echoes & Embers
Sound healing, witchy wares, rituals, and a love of the craft.
What did you do to celebrate the equinox? 🪻🔮
🪴Incorporate some herbs that align with your intention. You don’t need to own an apothecary for this! Just dig out that old sleepy time tea from your cabinet and toss a bag or two in there. Have a favorite bath oil? Cut open that tea bag or toss in some rosemary or bay leaf from your spice cabinet and boom you have a herbal infused bath oil.
✨Get the vibes right! If you can, dim you bathroom lights or turn them off and light some candles. They don’t have to be special, scented or reiki infused. You can also burn the end of a cinnamon stick to smoke cleanse if candles aren’t your thing.
🎼 Turn on some music! Youtube and Spotify have a great selection of soothing frequencies and pre recorded sound baths for manifesting and meditating. And for the extra lazy and adhd queens like myself, you can also prop your phone on a towel and watch something you enjoy. Just because you are watching Parks and Rec for the 100th time, doesn’t mean it’s not a ritual.
🔮 Intention intention intention! The most important part of a ritual bath is setting your intentions. If you do nothing else but bring your intention, you are doing it right. Repeat mantras and affirmations that align with you, picture the warm water washing away negative energy, envision the water is coating you with a protective shield, or just speak aloud what you want as if it has already happened. The most important thing we witches have is our spirit! Don’t forget that YOU are the magic!

Cinnamon doesn’t get enough credit in witchcraft.
It’s commonly known as the ultimate abundance tool, and that is true. However, it has many more amazing uses in witchcraft that you may not be familiar with.
🔮Amplifying spell work: Cinnamon is associated with the element of fire. And this fiery energy can be used to speed up or jumpstart manifestations and spell work. If you are impatient like myself, burning some cinnamon during spells and meditations is a great way to boost that energy.
🪴Abundance: cinnamon has a strong association with attracting wealth and good fortune in witchcraft. With a common use of the term “abundance“. Abundance of wealth is something we all desire, and yes, cinnamon can be a great way to attract that. But it can also mean a lot of other things. The definition of abundance is “a very large quantity of something” so although cinnamon can be a great way to attract wealth, it is also a great way to attract a great quantity of anything you desire.
✨Creativity: This powerhouse of a spice is also a great way to promote creativity. Incorporating cinnamon into your rituals and meditations can help stimulate your creative juices and spark new ideas.
🧿 Protection and Purification: Clearing negative energy and creating protective barriers is another reason why cinnamon should always be in your witch cabinet. Burning sticks for smoke cleansing, hanging some above a doorway, or adding it to a simmer pot are just some of the ways to incorporate cinnamon into your protection practices.
These are just some of the incredible things that cinnamon can do for your practice. Oh, and did I mention that is smells incredible?!? Even if you aren’t working on a spell or cleansing your home, the warm cozy scent it emits is reason enough to always have it in your home. ✨🔮
