All GNY Stores (except Rochester) will be closing today. They will be closed next Monday & Tuesday and reopen as Cosmo Prof stores on Wednesday.

The Rochester location is open today and Monday will be opening as Brand Neu.

Please accept our heartfelt "Thank You" for your loyal business throughout these past 41 years.

Thank you for all your kind words yesterday and again, please be patient with us as we sort out all the details. We are saying goodbye to people and brands that we care very deeply about.

To clarify, Brand Neu, will be set up as a temporary company to sell the remaining brands and products that were not acquired in the sale of GNY. Once everything is sold, Brand Neu (located in the former Goldwell New York Rochester Headquarters) will close their doors. It will open next week.

It is with mixed emotions that I am writing a sincerest “Thank You” for an amazing 41 years of Goldwell New York.
My family and I founded Goldwell of New York on July 5, 1982. Some of you will remember my parents, Hans and Erika. We were fortunate to become the first Goldwell Distributor in the United States.

Recently, I have made the difficult decision to sell Goldwell of New York to the BSG/CosmoProf company. After 41 years, I am ready to retire my distributor role and start a new chapter in my life.

My #1 objective was to provide the smoothest transition possible for you, our amazing customers and our
Goldwell of New York Team. I am happy to say that each Goldwell of New York Salon Consultant and Store Employee has a guaranteed position with BSG/CosmoProf if they choose to stay in our industry. We will be providing a severance package and job placement support for those whose positions have been eliminated.

I want to thank each of our Goldwell of New York Employees for being great contributors to our success. This will be a big transition for you and our people. Let me assure you, our team along with the BSG/CosmoProf Team will do our best to continue to provide an excellent customer service experience. Please be patient during our transition, and especially with our Sales, Store and in-house Team as we move forward.
