That’s the 1st lesson I had to learn as a new freelance hair and makeup artist a few years ago when I desperately wanted to work for myself

I was juggling multiple jobs

✔️Freelancing as a bridal artist for a local team
✔️Working at H&M in the morning
✔️And world Market at night

Time was nonexistent because I was too busy just trying to get by so I continued to hustle until I realized I hadn’t posted for my business in weeks but showed up for everyone else’s business 100%

Being able to work for myself full time was the main gain but it took the bad burner because I didn’t know how to keep my efforts consistent in a way that didn’t add to me already being tired by the time I get home at night

I wish back then that I understood what TYPE of content I should be making for my bridal business so I could gain momentum towards my goals but also take less thought time and most importantly be able to use the post again later so I don’t always have to create something NEW

Your bridal contract/policies might be the cause of your burn out

When I 1st started in the bridal world in 2014 I knew nothing about contracts but I did know I needed to have 1

My 1st contact was made in Microsoft word and I added my logo to it to look official 😆. Then vs what I know now about contracts Here are some things I wished I would have included to help get out of hustle mode sooner.

⚠️Designated days for trials and wedding days.

If I only help trial runs Tuesday-Thursday and saved Friday and Saturday do Wedding not only would I have gained my Sunday and Mondays back. But I’d create consistency in the way I schedule myself.

⚠️Limited changes to bridal beauty timeline. I only offer 2 changes but I’m also very details on how I walk my brides through helping me create their timeline for too many tweet.

⚠️Headcount cut off timeframes. I only my brides 90 days prior to their weddings to add on services because last minute add ons and frantically looking for extra artist last minute is for the birds and takes ALOT of energy.

These simple shifts give you back your time, sanity, and allows you to create a schedule where you prioritize what’s important to you and the frequency of how often and when you work.

Thinking about getting on more platforms to increase your visibility this year?

Before you do make sure you check your insight to see what’s currently working in your business and double down on it

If you don’t have a tea and you thinking about getting g in more platforms for more visibility if you don’t have a strong stratgey you might be giving 10% to multiple platforms vs showing up at 100%

But if your only focusing on showing up on more platform for not attention do you have a game plan once you gained their attention
