Any Equissage grads practicing in the state of Wisconsin for canine massage, and in NY (upstate), also for canine massage? TIA!
Hi! Just wanted to let you know my certification test has been delivered to your PO box. Very excited to hear how I did! Please let me know if you have any issues viewing the videos. Thanks again for such a wonderful learning opportunity !

Kristina
Thank you, Mary and Equissage, for a great week with Brave Name, Nicolas, Violet and all the other wonderful equine instructors! This was so good for me. AND i loved meeting my new cadre of fellow equine massage therapists Savannah Greene, Rebecca Hargreaves, Jill Baddorf and Julie Heinzman. 🧡
Dear Mary,

First of all I hope that you are all safe and both 4 and 2 legged family are doing okay

I just want to thank you. I have a little mini mare who suddenly could not walk, just shuffle. Everything else was okay but she looked like a little old lady. I reverted back to the training I got from Equissage and worked on her. It took about 12 days of massaging her every other day and last night she started walking a lot better. She stumbles once in a while but she is out in the field with the rest of the crew and hopefully is now on the mend. Will continue to use your treatments until she is 100%. Again, thank you so much

I don't know if I told you but I had to have Spirit put to sleep last year as his arthritis was so bad he couldn't get up and his hips sounded like crumbled tissue paper when he eventually got up. I had promised him that when he was ready I would help him cross the bridge. The vet came out and put him to sleep and then he went to Precious Pets where he was cremated and now he is in the barn with Patches and PeeWee.

Again, thank you for the training it is invaluable. Be safe and please take care. jackie carroll Picked on Pony Farm, 10641 E 640 Rd, Hennessey OK 73742

I know I didn't take the final exam but I still use your knowledge on my horses and donkeys
Cous, Sailor wrote an awesome book! TY!
Yay!!!!!!
I'm in AZ. I haven't seen anything in my area, so I thought about the online course. Looking at getting into something new. This working 2 jobs is getting really old.
Yay!!!!
Hope your Halloween was happy!!!!!!!
So grateful to give Junior his first Equissage, not sure who looks happier and hopefully the first of many to come . He is perfect .
Just thought I would share some of my wonderful experiences since having attended & successfully graduated Equissage in March 2000, The massage has become such a huge part of my life since then. Always watching 4 leggeds gait & assessing movement has always been a passion for me. I have shown horses in numerous disciplines since 1979 and raced & trained Standardbreds. Since 1992 I have shown, bred and trained Yorkshire Terriers also. I am very active in showing, breeding & judging dogs here in Canada. As an ESMT/CSMT I have been fortunate to have applied the Equissage methods to countless canines in the conformation and performance rings in North America and abroad. The transformation of many of these dogs and horses over the 19 years has been incredible to say the least. There is nothing more fulfilling and rewarding than helping any animal restore their full range of motion, mobility and eliminate pain associated with muscle strain and abnormalities. I can so highly recommend to anyone wanting to make a difference for animals to most definitely contact Equissage. Get ready for the most exciting time of your life, you will never regret it! and may this become your lifes passion as well 💖💖

A follow up photo of Rolo, the client featured in yesterday’s success story. So glad to know that massage helped him feel himself again! ☺️

[06/02/21]   A great #success story sent in this weekend. 😉🤩
Had a scare on Saturday- my 17 year old Quarter Horse Rolo started to colic (with the weather going from the 90s to 50s, I’m surprised the whole East Coast didn’t colic!) I just so happened to be there having pulled him out of his paddock for a ride and noticed right away something wasn’t right. I called the barn owner out, who gave him some Banamine with some hay in his stall. He refused to eat (Banamine is yucky!!). Then: I remembered my Equissage training that a massage during a colic episode is ok as long as there’s no fever or shock, and as soon as I started, he ate his hay vigorously. When I got to the back and abdomen, he sighed and farted (while still eating, which is probably the most gelding thing ever 😂!) By the end, he went back out with his buddies, took a big drink, pooped, and went to the bale. PHEW!! It was surreal and humbling to remember and use my training to help my own horse.

Here is Melody Rose, content in the beauty of her surroundings. I cannot resist posting this photo as Memorial Day weekend comes to a close.

The posts these last few days have been stunning. This past year didn’t destroy our core values and as I read each one I felt nothing but strength and patriotism. Isn’t that something!!

So. Good Night Melody and may God Bless you and all our wonderful friends.

“And This Is How It All Began”

I believe it was a genetic flaw that created a fear in me because I’ll never know why I was afraid of dogs. Not just afraid but truly scared to death of them. I remember being nervous while walking past The Dog and Cat Hospital. I can still see it, a white home with black shutters.

Many years later my husband and children finally talked me into getting a dog. They were so happy, I was not. I gave in. Now what. He was a Golden Retriever and they named him Hugger. I even asked my husband how should I pet him. Oh brother.

Pretty quickly I fell in love with him. He had my heart, he was everything to me. Maybe because he was so arrogant, I loved him even more. He tormented us in that he loved to chase cars, loved running away. That’s how I discovered that the creek he jumped into was deeper than I realized. But I got him out.

Over the years he had many different names. Lots of names. His last name was Ramon Munro. I had fun during the teaching weeks challenging my students to say his name three times and say it fast. In fact I did that this past week😊. Same results and just as funny.

Before I get weepy, I have to say it was just about the best thing we ever did. No one could have told me how my life would unfold. And yes, I live with a big black and white dog.

#FlashbackFriday to last week’s class with these wonderful ladies. They all did a great job and passed 🙌🏻

[05/08/21]   "Massage Brings Out the Best" #successstory
Yesterday I was asked to massage a pregnant mare. They said she was not a personable horse, hated to be brushed, and was more witchy since she'd been bred. This is their "prize" buckskin pleasure champion. She is a pleasure to ride, but not to work with. However, about three minutes into the massage she was licking and chewing, her head was just hanging here and and her her ears forward.
The owner came into the barn halfway through the massage and Kiddo nickered to her. She said she never does that! Afterwards, during the walkout, she was very happy. The owner said "you're a miracle worker!" That was great to hear. It really gave me confidence and I was so pleased that I could make that horse feel so good!
