A couple special extras are coming with me to the East China Farmers Market tomorrow!
I’ll have some HUGE, gorgeous mums ready to bring some fall color to your porch, plus handmade flower bouquets I’ve been putting together from flowers I’ve saved and dried.
These are just a little something extra for tomorrow, and quantities are limited, so if one is calling your name, come see me early!
I’ll also have plenty of your Saged by Sarah favorites

Roots- A Farmers Market
Come say hi, shop local, and take a little bit of fall home with you.

Today was one of those gloomy Michigan days that felt a little too much like fall, so here’s your weekly flower fix to keep summer going a little longer.
I’ve realized that putting together floral arrangements has become one of my favorite forms of art. I love starting with a pile of flowers I’ve grown, playing with different colors and textures, and seeing what they turn into. No two arrangements ever come out exactly the same, and I think that’s part of what I love about it.
I’m also so thankful that I get to make a weekly floral delivery to The Tavern in St. Clair. Having a local business trust me to bring a little piece of my garden into their space every week is pretty special.
And yes, there’s some sedum sneaking into this week’s arrangements. Apparently the garden knows fall is coming even if I’m not ready for it yet.
For now, I’ll just keep squeezing every last bit of color out of summer.

Love-Lies-Bleeding
This is an annual that refuses to die after the season is done- not on my watch anyway- maybe that says a few things, maybe not- either way, it’s magic
A little Saged update I’ve been so excited to share…
You can now shop Saged by Sarah at The Vintage Farmhouse Holly in Holly!
I officially have a little space of my own stocked with Saged favorites, so you can stop in, browse, and shop my products in person!!
A huge thank you to my cousins Kevin and Misty for welcoming Saged into The Vintage Farm House and giving me the opportunity to be part of the space they’ve created. I’m so excited to be here!
And if you haven’t been to The Vintage Farm House before, it’s definitely worth the trip. There are 50+ vendors throughout the shop with antiques, vintage finds, repurposed pieces, unique gifts, and so many fun things to wander through and discover. It’s one of those places where you never know what you’re going to find.
One of my favorite parts of growing Saged has been watching all the little “what ifs” slowly turn into something real. From making products at home, to setting up at markets, to returning customers, and now having a space where you can find Saged anytime you’re in the area.
If you’re near Holly, stop in, explore the shop, check out all the amazing vendors, and make sure you find the little Saged corner while you’re there!
Three years ago, before Saged by Sarah was even Saged by Sarah, I said yes to doing the flowers for my best friend’s wedding.
And I learned two very important things.
First: wedding florals are NO JOKE. There are timelines, logistics, a whole lot of flowers, and a very real pressure that comes with creating something for one of the biggest days of someone’s life.
Second: I absolutely love arranging flowers.
There was something about taking buckets of individual blooms and greenery and turning them into bouquets and arrangements that felt so natural and creative to me. Seeing it all come together and then seeing my best friend carrying a bouquet I had made as she walked down the aisle, was pretty special.
That experience also taught me something about the kind of floral work I wanted to do. I realized I didn’t necessarily want to become a wedding florist. What I loved was the creativity of it. Growing flowers, choosing what works together, playing with color and texture, and creating something beautiful without all of the pressure that comes along with a wedding day.
Three years later, florals have become their own little piece of Saged by Sarah, from homegrown bouquets and arrangements to centerpieces for local businesses.
It’s funny looking back at the things you said yes to before you really knew where they might lead.
Happy 3rd anniversary to one of my favorite people and to the wedding that helped me discover just how much I love playing with flowers.
business owner in the makings … it’s not all fun- it’s a lot of collecting rain water off the tent 😂🌿

Two things today that made this small business owner’s heart very happy:
1. A mom and daughter told me my booth was the prettiest one they’d seen all day.
2. A couple told me my booth was the most fun.
Now, were they just trying to get free stuff, or did my shining personality really come through today? Who knows. Either way, I’ll take it!
Such a great day at the Slow Down Summer Market and somehow, we even managed to avoid the rain!
Thank you to everyone who stopped by, shopped, chatted, laughed, or simply took a look around. Days like today are a pretty great reminder of why I love doing this.
Next stop: Farmers Market in East China tomorrow from 8–2! Come say hi if you’re in the area.

If you're new here, I’m Sarah—the hands, heart, and person behind Saged by Sarah.
I’ve always been a down-to-earth, hippie-loving gardener who feels most at home with my hands in the dirt. I’m also a single mom and have spent the last 14 years cleaning residential homes and building relationships with the families I work with.
A few years ago, I decided to make Christmas gifts for my cleaning clients. Things like simmer pots, candles, and other handmade goodies. I had no idea at the time that those little gifts would spark an entirely new passion.
I started experimenting. Growing more. Creating more. Asking a lot of, “Oooo...what if I tried this?”
And eventually, Saged by Sarah grew from it.
They say if you love what you do, it never really feels like work and that's what Saged has become for me.
From gardening and arranging fresh flowers to drying herbs, infusing oils, concocting new products, setting up at my first market, meeting my first customers, and then seeing those customers come back again...this has been an eye-opening journey filled with lessons, creativity, connections, and plenty more “oooo, what ifs?”
And I’m still figuring it out as I go.
Follow along as I grow, create, experiment, learn, and see where this little idea takes me next.
