Hello February!

There's something about a new month that I love. It's a chance to start over, try again, and reflect on the month before. February is extra special because it's my birthday month! Stay tuned for all the adventures that February has in store!

I forgot to post my track sheet! One week in and I haven’t bought any new yarn!

I love supporting indie dyers and working with hand dyed yarn but I need to get my stash worked up so I have room for more.

The last finished object of 2022 - my December socks for

I cut it pretty close with my last pair of socks and finished them on December 31. This was a great way to wrap up the year and I am so glad that I completed a full year of socks!

Finally getting around to posting the last couple finished items of 2022

These are my advent socks by and I LOVE how they came out! This was a mishmash of patterns but I love the final product.

- I did a toe up sock instead of my typical cuff down since I knew I lonely had 50 grams total for my socks.
- I did the “Stack of Books” pattern by even though it’s written as a cuff down pattern
- I was doing a toe up sock with a reverse heel flap that wasn’t working out so I did a Fish Lips Kiss heel by and a mini heel flap

Overall, very happy with my advent socks!

Welcome 2023!

Here's to a New Year, new friends, new challenges, new growth and new experiences! I am so blessed to have you come along with me on this wild ride! I have so much planned for the new year and I can't wait to share it with you!

Finally went through my projects to see what I worked on and I can't believe I finished 38 projects! Not surprised that the majority of those were socks. For 2023 I'd like to have a bit more variety in my projects but I'll definitely be making lots of socks this year!

Every year, I set huge, impossible goals for myself and every year I'm disappointed in the first three months. Let's stop setting impossible goals and let's start setting SMART goals.

SPECIFIC - Be clear and speficic so your goals are easier to achieve. This also helps you know how and where to get started.

MEASURABLE - measurable goals can be tracked, allowing you to see your progress. They also tell you when a goal is complete.

ATTAINABLE - Are you able to take action to achieve the goal? Actionable goals ensure the steps to get there are within your control.

RELEVANT - Avoid being overwhelmed and unnecessary stress and frustration by making the goal realistic.

TIME BOUND - A date helps us stay focused and motivated, inspiring us and providing something to work towards.

Goal setting doesn't have to be hard or scary. Just be SMART about it!

Guess what’s dropping tomorrow!

Is it purple? Is it green? Whatever it is, this shade is the perfect parts mysterious and and haunting and I’m gonna be so sad once it’s gone!

I can’t get over this red! Think of a candy apple with just a touch of dark magic and that’s this red! And to make it that much more amazing, I added some glitter. But surprisingly enough, red isn’t as loved a color as I thought it’d be.
