What is a tall tale you remember from your childhood?

I have a thing that I believed for YEARS when I was young……🤦🏻‍♀️

When we were younger we went on long drives to grandpa and grandmas house, when we were driving we went through farmlands, and I always thought it was so cool! I loved seeing all the animals, and even the smell didn’t bother me to much…. I remember the day like it was yesterday, I saw the animals, and barns and was talking to my dad about how cool they were! Then, I saw these giant mountains covered in plastic, with tires on top. This was a farm…..why are there different sized tires 🤔🤔. I was so intrigued, I asked my dad, and he very plainly told me that we were passing a tire farm, where they grew tires!

Duh! Made total sense, the tires were all different sized, and in my young brain there was nothing at all funky with this knowledge! So there I was 6/7 years old and obsessed with tire farms…… FOR 10 years!!!!!

🤦🏻‍♀️ yes. I was like 15/16 when I realized that tire farms were less of a reality, and more of a Bob Lowry tall tale…….. 😂
