California Makeup

So after 3 weeks with Pic line IV and Iv antibiotics and all I went thru with that, the culture shows Pseudomonas has not changed at all. Now on an oral drug to try to kill the Aspergillus in my lungs.
Yes I am exhausted and very dissapointed I went thru all that for maybe nothing..

So if this is what I have to look forward to for the rest of my years I will ask for Port, as the other way is too difficult living alone.
I have not had any energy to work but still plan to specific jobs as they come my way.

I have had a Pseudomonas bacterial infection in my lungs for over 3 mos. UCD finally had to put a PICC line IV in my arm in order to run a new antibiotic as the mos. of oral meds did not work.,
So I am homebound for two weeks. I have 5 syringes loaded with saline and antibiotic I have to administer myself for 2 weeks, every 8 hrs. 5am or 6am, 3 or so then midnight.
So not much sleep for me for some time to come.
I am exhausted and trying to do all this by myself is challenging. A home health RN came out twice but not again till next Monday. Showering is really hard as I have to take 2 showers a day, once after my other lung treatments of saline nebulizer and an oscillating vest.
I applied for a battery operated vest so I can not be attached to the machine. I hope this antibiotic works and even if it does there will be more days like this as this is all part of Bronchiectasis lung illness which mimics Cystic Fibrosis and Pseudomonas is colonized in my lungs now so my pulmonary Dr. can only try to keep it at bay for periods of time.
I am so tired of wearing the same pjs' and washing them and one other top during the day as the Picc line makes sleeves not fit.
I cannot work tho want and need to but right now I have to rest. My wonderful cats are keeping me going.
Send some healing prayers my way please as I need all the help I can get as I live alone.
Also my caregiver had to resign due to family emergency so I am trying to find help as it is impossible to vacuum and mop.

Today I worked for 48HRS. CBS here in Roseville on a cold case from about 15 yrs ago. A young girl disappeared one night after gambling at Thunder Valley Casino. The last sighting of her was of her walking with Mario Gomez in the parking lot. He was convicted of murder, tho her body was never found until now. And he claimed innocence to this day, but special equipment enabled her body to be found so her family now has closure. Erin Moriarty, Emma winning journalist was the interviewer for this episode with the Placer DA. I don't know the air date yet, but look for it.

Many Covid precautions for me: mask, shield, sterilization of makeup etc. and before I left the house had to talk to an RN for CBS, take my temperature and show my ID and a photo of myself by Smartphone. Also had to get Covid tested again which was hard to arrange. Erin said in New York it is easy to get tested, as not so much Covid there as here in California.
Anyway it was great to finally get back to my usual makeup work, but very different now with Covid rules.

Another shoot I worked on recently.This couple are professional art photographers so it was an interesting shoot, as the photographer and this couple were both very interested in how these shots would turn out! Very nice people, talented.

Yesterday worked on an industrial food shoot for Raley's in Folsom. Actors from the bay area, food stylist, photographer from Tahoe. Great print job. Great crew, lot's of talented people.

I have spent most of this week doing makeup for live shots of Congressman John Garamendi for MSNBC and CNN. He is speaking about the Trump situation and the Turkey/Syria issue and the problems there. How this all will affect us is yet to be known, but he is a strong supporter of the Democratic population and I regard his opinions highly. It has always been a pleasure for me to get the makeup call when he is in town near the Capitol in Sacramento as he flys to Washington often and now recently returned from Ukraine and Poland, so on the cutting edge of what is going on. The next few days will be with private clients of mine for events: tutorials and also makeovers for their event at Sparkle.

I have makeup appointments available for the River City Gems event, "Sparkle" still available for Oct.12th. These book up quickly as each appointment takes an hour to do a transformation. Please email me or call for an appointment!. I hope some of you can make the event, it is really enjoyable.

I did makeup for both Ami Bera and Tom McClintok (politicians )for FOX news and CNN this month. It was great to get back in the studio again for this as I had not been there for awhile.

Currently I am interviewing Transgenders and Cross dressers for a tutorial video I am going to do teaching "male to female makeup transformation" It will be on my website when finished and maybe utube.
