I wanted to figure out my own kettle corn recipe. I would go to the store to check out the ingredients and flavors other businesses were using. I would go on YouTube to see what other people were doing but then add my own funk to it. I wanted to add my own pizzazz!
It took me a week, But after it came out, I felt so impressed by myself. Like, I made this!
After that, my business needed a name. I decided on ‘Kakes the Great’ because my brother calls me ‘Kakes’ and my mom always tells me I’m great!

I’ve learned so much through this journey from being around all kinds of amazing people. I’ve matured so much, and going from being just a small kid to everybody knowing you has been crazy!
