I roasted the bacon like you said (350 on parchment paper) and it came out perfect!! I guess the poor results before were because I wasn't using the right bacon. I'll have to get all my bacon from Kehres Health now.

I have one suggestion or request as a patient can you consider bringing in a traction table this would be much needed and appreciated. I have many of my customers ask if there's anywhere with a traction table around and with you being the best I would consider you bringing one in

"It's all about the nervous system. Our nervous system controls every tissue, cell, and organ in our body...so why not look at that first before looking at other things that may be causing an issue? Chiropractic is an investigation looking at where things start, and for most of the issue we see, it's the nervous system.

An adjustment helps the body realize it can heal itself and that's a huge thing. We address the nervous system and the body heals itself.

To be a chiropractor, you need to be confident in your ability to figure out what's going on. Talking with the patient to figure out what the issue is and communicating with them how you're going to help is so important, and it goes beyond just making a simple adjustment."

In order to understand how an ArthroStim Instrument works, you have to understand how chiropractic adjustment works. A chiropractic adjustment produces precise movements which stimulates ‘neural receptors’ in an injured/affected area.

These receptors will then produce nerve impulses which transmit important information to the brain. The brain will process this information and use it to update its awareness about the condition of an area. Once the brain evaluates the changes prompted by the adjustment, it can begin sending out self-correcting commands to the muscular system, and other systems, to bring about healing within your body.

The ArthroStim is just another way to administer these adjustments, but it is faster, more comfortable and efficient due to its controlled repetitive input. This input produces a ‘snowballing’ effect on neural receptors and allows it to transmit more information to the brain with less effort, pain, and force.

Hurry Sickness: Symptoms and How to Cope

We need to slow down.

SLLLLLLLOOOOOOWWW DOWNNNN.

Not an officially designated "sickness", but reading just the phrase is proof enough it exists: "hurry sickness".

"Sign of "hurry sickness" might include:

- speeding, both in your car and through conversations, the grocery store, or meals
rushing through work tasks and household chores, to the point where you sometimes make mistakes and have to do them again
- frequently performing time calculations in your head to see whether you can fit in another task
- feeling irritable when you face delays
- constantly trying to find ways to save time
- endlessly running through your to-do list in your head to make sure you haven’t forgotten anything

Hurry sickness frequently involves an undercurrent of anxiety. Perhaps stress and worry creep up when you think of everything you have to do.

Or maybe you quickly become anxious when you find yourself stuck in traffic, early for an appointment, or waiting for something with nothing to do in the meantime.

Hyperaware of the seconds ticking by, you fixate on all the things you could be doing with the wasted time.

Spending your days hurrying often means you devote less time to self-care.

Relaxation and alone time might be the first “unnecessary” activities you scrap when you feel busy, but many people with hurry sickness also start to ignore things like hydration, balanced meals, physical activity, or sleep.

When you don’t have good self-care practices in place to protect against stress and anxiety, you might begin to notice physical health effects:

- trouble sleeping
- changes in appetite
- fatigue
- headaches
- stomach issues
- decreased immune health
- Prolonged stress can also play a part in burnout, a state where you feel completely drained and no longer able to cope with the demands of daily life.

Living in a constant state of stress can also raise blood pressure and contribute to heart problems."

Spending most of your day in front of a computer or a phone? Show your t-spine some love!

95% of Americans need to make nutrition a priority.

Less than 5% of adults participate in 30 minutes of physical activity each day, only one in three adults receive the recommended amount of physical activity each week. (source: hhs.gov)

Add that to the fact that more than 80% of Americans have a metabolic problem due to diet, and it is a recipe for a nationwide health crisis.

Find what works for you. And know that it will alter during different periods of your life.

I have three kids, a full time job and so does my wife. I need a routine that allows me to stay in shape without spending two hours a day working out so I can spend as much time as possible home with my wife and kids.

My current routine is doing 15 – 20 reps of body weight exercises daily, and then doing a 10-15 minute sprint workout on a spin bike.
I move and walk as much as I can throughout the day and put a lot of focus on nutrition -- low carb, high protein, low sugar, lots of green veggies, etc.

This routine works extremely well FOR ME at this phase in my life and probably other people who are already in shape. I’m not willing to sacrifice more time to work out than I currently am. So for me personally, I need to put my energy on what I’m eating to stay in shape.

So if you can’t devote more time to exercise, then you need make a major shift to focus on your nutrition.

Are you committed or are you just hoping?

Annnnnnd this just might be the best health advice we give all week.

Falling on ice can be very devastating for many people, from broken hips to compression fractures in the lumbar spine.

Do you know the best way to prevent falling on ice?

Take very small steps and strengthen your legs!

Small steps keep your feet under your body and allow your foot to maximize it's surface area, making you much more stable. The farther your foot gets in front of you the greater your risk of falling.

Also, do body weight squats on a regular basis to keep your legs strong, if you start to fall strong legs will help you get your feet under you again preventing you from falling.

Are You a Workaholic? Here’s How to Tell If You’re Addicted to Work

What's the difference between working long hours and being addicted to work?

"However, “our culture rewards people who work hard,” Wind explains. This means that if we do have a problem, we may not realize it.

“We may be getting praise and recognition from supervisors and teammates, which encourages us to work harder without recognizing that we have an addiction,” Wind says. “We may justify our behavior by saying that we have ambition and are working towards achieving success.”

So what’s the difference between someone who merely works long hours and a true workaholic? The person addicted to work struggles to psychologically detach from work, even when they’re away from the office.

When you struggle to detach from work, you ruminate. This can lead to high levels of stress, anxiety, depression, and sleep problems.

Under chronic stress, your body begins to see impacts, such as high blood pressure and high cortisol levels, according to a 2013 research review.

This puts you at greater risk of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and even death.

In addition, work addiction can impact your relationships, leading to loneliness, isolation, and depression."

The Sick Care System

"Where once there existed “juvenile” and “adult onset” diabetes (the former being autoimmune in nature, the latter being largely due to over consumption of food) there are now toddlers with type 2 diabetes. Every year tens of thousands of peer reviewed research papers are published on these topics, yet both rates of occurence and associated costs of these conditions continue to escalate.

We know more about disease than ever before, yet we appear largely incapable of changing the course. Why?"
