The Joy Project For Women

There is a beautiful scripture that says “Trust in God and lean not on your own understanding and He will direct your path.” (In my own words)
Most of the time in my life, if there is something I need to fix it is because I haven’t consulted God in deep prayer and I’ve moved into a path that was not directed by Him!
When will I learn that His way is the best way and leaning on my own understanding will often times lead me to confusion and even loss…
But having said this…that loss is still a way to learn and grow and realign myself with God.
I believe with all of my heart that Struggle leads us to Joy and Joy is the business of heaven.

As I grow older I find myself counting my blessings!
The amazing thing is that many of those blessings came after some of the deepest sorrows.
Losing a child is one of the hardest things a mother can experience and it causes great fear in a mother’s heart. Until it doesn’t. Because I have found that thru my Saviors love, I have peace and believe it or not…joy. Do I miss my little boy every single day… yes. Are there days when I just can’t face the pain of loss, still?? Yes, until I can face it because of my Saviors love.
I have literally felt his love and strength when I am so weak and feel lost.
The secret that I have uncovered in my life is to look for His love. Look for his peace and his support.
It is always there, and when I look, I find it.
Our lives are a gift from a loving God!
He protects us and he holds us close.
I believe this with my entire being. I hope you do too!

Oh my heart. Down syndrome equals JOY!
Down syndrome is a very special super power.
And I’m saddened by all of the chatter going on right now about giving them a chance at life.
My way of dealing with this sadness, is sharing my experiences with Down syndrome.
Look at my little friend Aida!
She and her sweet mommy and daddy came into my life a few years after I had said goodbye to my own little boy Billy who had Down syndrome.
This little girl is JOY. She’s beautiful and smart and full of love for her friends. She remembers everyone and literally makes me feel loved.

Have you ever met someone and thought to yourself…she is going to change my life.
Lindsey Graham .patriot.barbie was that for me.
To the world she is fierce and an example of standing for her beliefs.
And that is true.
For me, she is not only absolutely gorgeous on the outside (i loved doing your makeup) she is exquisite on the inside.
She is kind, and deeply generous.
She’s funny and an amazing mother.
She is a genius and thinks so fast it’s hard to keep up!
I love you to pieces Lindsey.
I cannot wait for our futures together as we form our partnership with Perga and PiperBlue. And as we continue to see where our friendship can take us. When women support each other, we can move mountains.

Joy!!! Bring light to the darkness!
Jesus Christ is the truest source of light.
In your darkest moment, reach out to Him. Call out his name.
You will feel it!! You will!!
Our future is as bright as our faith. Faith creates the desire to act!
The action can be simply calling out to our Savior Jesus Christ!
