In loving memory of Harold Charles Garrett — 95 years of life, fully lived.

Dad, you were everything a man should be: hardworking, honest, dependable, present. You built your family with your own hands and gave us the best a man can give, your time, your love, your example. You were always there, always happy, and always ready with that sarcastic humor that made us laugh even on hard days.

You held my daughter in your arms and loved her instantly, the same way you loved all of us. One day she’ll be old enough to understand what an extraordinary grandfather she had, a man who waited for his family, who fought to the very end, and who left this world surrounded by love.

Thank you for everything you taught us without ever needing words. Thank you for waiting for us that last week. I’ll make sure she always knows how loved she was by you.
