There’s something special about watching a gift continue to grow long after the moment it was given.
I received this orchid as a military retirement gift in 2024, and since then, it has rebloomed several times. Each bloom was beautiful, but this recent one has been the most abundant yet. Full, vibrant, and absolutely showing out.
It has been such a joy watching every bud slowly open. A reminder that growth does not stop just because one chapter ends.
Soon the blooms will begin to fade and drop as it enters its post bloom rest period. It is always a little bittersweet to watch the petals fall, but I know it is simply gathering strength for its next rebloom.
Retirement has felt a little like that too. One season of service closed, and another opened. Still growing, still stretching, still blooming in new ways.
And just like this orchid, I have learned that when you are rooted well and nurtured intentionally, you flourish. Whether that nurturing comes through community, purpose, or even helping women feel confident in their own skin, growth is growth.
Here’s to new seasons, deeper roots, and blooming again and again.

Well… plot twist for today 😅
Since I had zero Galentine skincare RSVPs, the facials took the day off. But silver lining…my schedule opened up and I did not have to skip my workout.
I got my sweat on with my Body Combat crew, threw some punches, kicked out the stress, and called it a win.
Skincare didn’t happen today, but self-care absolutely did. Sometimes the glow comes from a good workout instead of a face mask 💪🏽✨
Tomorrow is another day, another plan, and another opportunity. Every business has quiet days. Every comeback has momentum. Today just looked a little different than planned, and that’s okay.
Onward, upward, and still glowing. 💪🏽✨

OK, OK, I tried the caricature prompt. It understood the assignment. Well, mostly😂
Tell me why Chat gave me a wedding ring? I clearly missed that memo. No ceremony, no cake, no honeymoon. If someone has my spouse, please send them my way. LOL. And what's up with those badges LOL. All jokes aside, I truly miss serving in the Air Force. I miss being part of something bigger than myself, united in a shared commitment. The friendships I made don't fade just because the uniform comes off.
Now here I am in my Mary Kay chapter, still serving, just in a different way. Different uniform, same values, same heart. Building confidence and community through skincare. Still showing up, serving one face at a time💗
