Smooth does not mean flat!!
Most Keratin Complex Treatments require heat to seal the treatment into the hair. When it comes to this part of the protocol, I don't like to use the term "flat ironing." This can give the wrong connotation to what the treatment is doing to the hair.
Treatments do not make the hair flat. Most of the time it's how we smooth the hair that causes this result. You can still create volume and fullness in the finished smoothing result by elevating the sections you are ironing. This will create a more natural result and can eliminate the appearance of a flat finish.
