Meet the Leadership! Assistant Chief Lili Sumney: A little about me.

I received my BSN from UNC Chapel Hill in 2003 and my anesthesia degree from the Raleigh School of Anesthesia in 2010. I started my CRNA career at UNC and am thrilled to have recently joined the leadership team. I have a love for pediatric anesthesia and more recently OB. I also have been on multiple mission trips to both Africa and South America providing anesthesia in many poor and underserved communities. Besides my job at UNC I am a wife and a mother to two beautiful girls age 10 mo and 3. I love to travel, cook, read, and explore all things outdoor. I speak 3 languages including my family’s native language of Hungarian and hope to pass on my love for the small country to my daughters.

Meet our Leadership! Hi, I'm Carly Raynor, one of our two Assistant Chief CRNAs here at UNC. It has been my pleasure to serve in this role since last August (2022). A little about me - I graduated from UNC Chapel Hill with my BSN in 2001 and then received my MSN from the Carolinas Medical Center Nurse Anesthesia Program in 2006. I worked for two years in New Orleans before relocating to Chapel Hill in 2009. I have a passion for pediatric anesthesia and have loved working with our UNC peds anesthesia team! Aside from my professional life, I am mom to two boys ages 13 and 14. Our family loves to travel, and this past summer we visited Scotland to explore lots of castles, gardens and waterfalls!
