Suuuper late for this post since it’s basically Christmas, but Thanksgiving ‘21 will definitely be one I won’t forget!
First time I’ve ever had to evacuate bc of a fire right down the street.. couldn’t even walk outside without my eyes watering from the smoke 😳 but everyone’s save and no houses were burnt because the are AMAZING.
Secondly it was the first Thanksgiving at a restaurant. Different but still good Bc I got to spend it with the grandparents 🥰💗

People think that being a vet assistant means you play with puppies and cats all day

That is absolutely not the case 😅

Some days are harder than other but we deal with

♾Getting pooped on
♾Peed on
♾Bled on
♾Scratches
♾Hissed at
♾Dogs and cats who want to bite and murder you
♾Euthanasia‘s
♾Seeing owners bawl their eyes out bc their pet has passed over the rainbow
♾Broken backs from restraints from crazy pets

You name it.

So if you know of see a vet assistant/tech, make you thank them for what they do 🥰

But don’t get me wrong, it’s VERY rewarding helping them recover and take away their pain.
We’re definitely not in it for the money because what we are definitely underpaid!

But we do it for the love of the animals and I wouldn’t have it any other way 💗

No but seriously the amount of growth I’ve had in the past year (emotionally, mentally, financially) is crazy.

Getting out of a 3 yr relationship and finding myself again wasn’t easy but DAMN it was worth it.

I wasn’t who I was a year ago. Hell, I’m not even who I was a week ago (THANK YOU Monations 🙌🏼)

Not a lot of people know this, but I do struggle with situational/chronic depression (which means it flares up with big life changes or it can just come and go) and gnarly insomnia.

Sometimes it can get the best of me. Another thing a lot of ppl don’t know, is that I was struggling so bad, that I no longer wanted to be on this earth. And it was bad. (Thank good for friends and loved ones)

I now have the best mindset in life that I’ve EVER had.

I’m proud of how far I’ve come, and where I’m going.
