If you love history, a stay at one of San Diego’s landmark hotels is one of the best ways to experience it.

From Victorian beachfront icons to glamorous downtown properties and beautifully restored neighborhood hotels, these stays offer more than a room, they each hold a piece of the city’s story.

Save this for your next staycation or San Diego trip, then head to the link in bio for the full guide.

The deals people actually buy 👀

I rounded up my most-purchased theme park ticket discounts, including San Diego Zoo/Safari Park, SeaWorld, Disneyland, Universal, Sesame Place, Belmont Park, and Six Flags Magic Mountain.

Some are straight discounts, some are bonus visit deals, and some are seasonal tickets worth knowing about before you pay full price.

Comment DEALS and I’ll send you the link to all of them.

Because summer in Southern California is expensive enough without paying gate price.

Absolutely worth keeping the kids up late for this one. 🌙🐟

The grunion run is one of those only-in-SoCal summer things: tiny silver fish washing onto the sand at night to spawn, right after high tide, during very specific windows after the new and full moons.

A few parent notes before you go:

Go at the beginning of the listed window, but the second hour is usually when things get good.

Choose wide, sandy beaches with fewer lights — Silver Strand, Coronado, La Jolla Shores, Mission Beach, Pacific Beach, Del Mar, and Oceanside are good places to try.

Keep flashlights low, stay quiet near the water, and remind kids this is a wildlife moment, not a chase-the-fish moment.

Best bedtime-friendly windows coming up:
July 14, July 29, August 12, and August 28.

Save this for a summer night when bedtime is already a lost cause.

San Diego has plenty of Fourth of July options — the harder part is picking the one that works for your family.

Big Bay Boom is the iconic fireworks show. Coronado is the classic all-day Fourth. La Jolla Shores has a drone show if you want something less loud. LEGOLAND, Old Town, the Fair, and neighborhood fireworks are usually easier with little kids.

Save this before you make your Fourth of July plans.
