If you’re tired of sinus pressure and stuffy mornings, these DIY Eucalyptus Shower Steamers transform any shower into a natural aromatherapy session. They’re inexpensive, effective, and packed with congestion-relieving eucalyptus.

Ingredients (Makes 12–14 Steamers)

2 cups Baking Soda

1 cup Citric Acid

1/4 cup Cornstarch (or Arrowroot)

2 tbsp Isopropyl Alcohol or Witch Hazel

40–60 drops Eucalyptus Essential Oil (E. radiata or E. globulus)

Tools

Silicone mold or lined muffin tin

Large mixing bowl

Whisk

Spray bottle

How to Make Them

Mix the dry ingredients: whisk baking soda, citric acid, and cornstarch until totally lump-free.

Add eucalyptus oil and mix thoroughly so the scent distributes evenly.

Activate slowly: spritz 3–4 times with alcohol/witch hazel, mix fast, repeat until the texture feels like damp sand and holds its shape when squeezed.

Mold firmly: pack tightly into silicone molds — the tighter the pack, the slower the melt.

Cure 24–48 hours until rock hard. Keep away from humidity.

How to Use

Place 1 steamer on the back corner of the shower (never under direct water).
Let the steam release eucalyptus vapors that open your airways naturally.
