The Spirit Bird Life

Today marks the end of my role as Brand Director at Nuun Hydration—another unexpected plot twist in what has already been the hardest year of my life. Losing my dad, facing a breast cancer scare, and now losing my job… it’s been a season of deep challenge. But challenge has shaped me before.

Nearly a decade ago, I stepped away from corporate life at Kellogg’s Australia and rebuilt everything—my career, my community, my identity. I traveled the world, launched a yoga/coaching business, and created a life that eventually led me to my husband and my daughter. That chapter taught me that when life dismantles your plans, it’s often preparing you for something bigger.

I feel that again now. I don’t yet know what’s next, but I do know this: I’m resilient, I’m open, and I’m ready for whatever the Universe is clearing space for.

I’ve been leaning into my favorite mantra: “Don’t focus on the life you had planned, because you won’t be ready for the life that awaits.” So I’m calling this next chapter my R&D phase — Receiving & Dreaming. Receiving the lessons, the clarity, the unexpected gifts… and dreaming about where my strengths, creativity, and heart can make the biggest impact.

For now, I’m taking three weeks in California and Alaska with my daughter to breathe, reset, and welcome whatever comes next.
