The Traveling Sauna is the only wood fired luxury mobile sauna experience in Southern California. It's like a wellness retreat, in your backyard.
We bring the perfect blend of relaxation, wellness, and nature directly to your doorstep.
It’s been a little quiet over here… but not because we’ve been standing still.
Over a year ago, I took a leap of faith and started The Traveling Sauna. What began as one wood-fired sauna and a dream has become so much more than I ever imagined.
Along the way, The Traveling Sauna quietly celebrated its first year in business. I never made a post about it, but it felt like the perfect time to pause and reflect.
This journey has never been just about saunas or cold plunges. It’s about creating space for people to slow down, reconnect with nature, challenge themselves, and connect with one another.
Over the past year, we’ve watched complete strangers become friends over conversations in the steam. We’ve witnessed people take their very first cold plunge, push past what they thought they were capable of, and step out feeling stronger, calmer, and more alive. We’ve been welcomed into retreats, celebrations, communities, and unforgettable places—and every experience has reminded me why sauna culture is so special.
It’s an incredible honor to bring these experiences to so many people and to watch moments of connection unfold, one session at a time.
To every person who has booked an event, stepped into the sauna, taken the plunge, cheered us on, or followed along from afar—thank you. You’ve made this dream possible.
We’re only getting started, and I couldn’t be more excited for everything the rest of this year has in store.
Here’s to more fires, more cold plunges, more meaningful conversations, and many more moments of connection. 🤍🌲🔥

Löyly - the spirit of the steam.
In each session, we pour water infused with essential oils over the hot stones, releasing aromatic steam that fills the sauna with warmth and calm. Sometimes we add a towel spin to move the heat through the air, creating an even deeper, more therapeutic experience.
This guided ritual helps open the pores, ease muscle tension, stimulate circulation, and ground the nervous system - the essence of sauna as it’s meant to be.
Our wood-fired mobile sauna serves all of Southern California, offering guided sessions that blend heat, scent, and stillness to reconnect you with yourself and nature.
Wellness is a human right.

Finnish wood-fired saunas have deep roots in the country’s culture, with origins dating back over 2,000 years. These saunas were once places of healing, birthing, and sacred rituals. What makes them truly unique is the way they’re heated—by burning wood in a stove, which warms the stones above. While the heat is gentler than modern electric saunas, it can actually get much hotter, often reaching temperatures of 85-100°C (185-212°F). This intense heat opens pores, stimulates circulation, and promotes detoxification on a deeper level. The gradual warmth also encourages relaxation and mental clarity, offering not just physical benefits but a profound sense of connection to nature 🌲🌙
