Hi friends! I’ve been a little absent from my salon IG page for too long! Sadly posting my work on social media is NOT one of my strengths but I’ve decided to put myself and my salon out there more consistently going forward. A little about me: my name is Jennifer Flanagan and I’ve been a hairdresser for 25 years! After working in a couple different salons in La Jolla I opened my own salon Haute Heads 18 years ago! I have a passion for hair and making my clients look and feel their best! I specialize in blondes, multi-dimensional and lived in hair color.
When I’m not in the salon I enjoy spending time with my husband Sean and 3 kids Fiona, Liam & Aiden. I look forward to sharing my salon life and work as well as a little bit of my family life too!

This post is about texture! My clients hair is very thick with a lot of texture, curls and body…. almost too much at times as she finds it hard to know how to manage her own hair! Sometimes she’s not happy when she blows it out and straightens it, too severe and other times when she wears it curly it is too “poofy”! Today I gave her a style that gave her control but also embraces her natural waves! I used hydrating shampoo/conditioner, styling products and a large barrel curling iron to finish her look!
