Reset with Jes
20 yr RN. Mom, Coach. I built the V.I.T.A.L. Shift Method because what I needed didn’t exist. Not a wellness program.
A clinical framework build for the nurse brain. Free burnout assessment 👇🏽

I’m convinced nurses aren’t real people. 😂
We’ll witness absolute chaos, get yelled at, dodge bodily fluids, miss lunch, make 47 critical decisions, keep someone alive…
then clock out like:
“Anyway, what are we eating?” 💀
Robots want our stamina.
A Wall Street CEO would need a 6-month sabbatical after the first 6 hours of a nursing shift.
And somehow we come back tomorrow.
Not because we’re normal.
Because somewhere along the way, chaos became our baseline. 😂🩺
Nurses… what happens during a shift that would send a normal person straight into witness protection? 👇
We’re trained to prevent disease, recognize deterioration and intervene early for our patients…
Yet somehow we wait until WE are falling apart before we intervene. 🫠
Burnout has warning signs too.
The irritability.
The exhaustion that sleep doesn’t fix.
The detachment.
The brain fog.
The “I don’t even recognize myself anymore.”
Medication can absolutely be an important and appropriate part of treatment for many people. This isn’t about avoiding treatment—it’s about recognizing the warning signs earlier instead of waiting until we’re in crisis to ask for help.
I’ve been there. And I’m still right here working night shift alongside you.
If you’re wondering where you fall on the burnout spectrum, take the Burnout Assessment linked in my bio.
And if afterward you realize, “Okay… I think I need to talk to someone who gets it,” reach out. 🤍
You don’t have to wait until you’re ready to leave nursing to start taking care of the nurse.

Let’s normalize nervous systems that no longer want modern chaos.
Not everyone wants:
* constant scrolling
* nonstop noise
* emotional numbing
* panic headlines
* overconsumption
* hustle culture
* dopamine addiction
* being reachable 24/7
Some people want:
* quiet mornings
* deep conversations
* sunlight
* walks
* real food
* slower living
* peace
* presence
* enough safety in their body to finally exhale
And honestly?
I don’t think that makes people weak, lazy, antisocial, or “too sensitive.”
I think many nervous systems are rejecting lifestyles that were never sustainable to begin with.
Your body notices:
* overstimulation
* chronic stress
* emotional suppression
* constant urgency
At some point, healing starts looking less like “doing more”…
and more like returning to what makes us human again.
Less noise.
More presence.
Less consuming.
More living.
