I am a mama.

After many years of longing to bear that title, it feels surreal to write and say out loud. It was 8 years ago, fresh in the beginning of the long-awaited journey to motherhood that I began doing makeup full time, eventually launching . It became my “baby,” something to cherish and pour my creativity into as I waited, hoped, mourned. So many of those weekends spent celebrating my brides’ weddings would ignite the happy spark I needed on tough days and for that, I am so grateful.

Last year, my beloved father also became very sick and was initially given a short prognosis. To this day, I continue to thank and praise God for giving my family one of the best gifts of all: time. More time. Time that also included him meeting my son! Something I did not think would be a possibility. My heart has held the greatesf grief and joy all at once these past few months and in the middle of that, my perspective on the preciousness of time has shifted.

So in light of all this, I have made the heartfelt decision to no longer take any more weddings with Beauty Bespoken. Perhaps not forever, but certainly a long while.

It seems so fitting that this little business began out of the pain of infertility and now, in its “closing” is completed with the fulfillment of that dream. And because of that, I will praise Him from whom all blessings flow for He continues to deal bountifully with me.

I have a new website! I began the process several months ago and can’t thank or sing high enough praises for . Shannon crafted the perfect words that capture my voice and brand beautifully. And she is such a kind human.

I’m proud of the brand I’ve built these past 7 years and grateful for the connections, brides, and destinations it has brought me.

I think this new website reflects all this so well 🫶🏻

Here are 4 of my favorite products for dry skin:

1. Lait Crème
I use this to give the skin a surge of hydration prior to complexion application. It’s an excellent prep product that lays beautifully underneath foundation.

2. Essential Moisturize
This is a facial oil that replenishes the skins using a blend of antioxidants, amino acids and proteins. I also love that this product is toxin free and plant based!

3. Lit Up Sticks
This could easily be confused as a highlight, but because of the balm-like texture this is fantastic to use underneath foundation on dry, scaly skin patches to create an even canvas. I recommend using sparingly and in very, very thin layers.

4. WTF Foundation
If you haven’t been able to find something that ACTUALLY hydrates your skin without looking dry and cakey—you NEED this product. This does not give much coverage but it’s uniquely rich hydration properties make it personal favorite of mine.

Beyond excited to bring this to life. Sharing the knowledge and skills I’ve acquired over the past decade with others is something I have wanted to do for a while, and it’s finally happening.

I’ve been working diligently on creating a beauty curriculum that addresses some of the common concerns I hear from my clients and my audience.
