Happy New Year! Although I am saddened by the abrupt closure of my skin care business last year, I am not done with this industry! I am pursuing CIDESCO certification, but something prompted me last year to pursue the hair styling part of the beauty industry. I will be pursing my barbering license, which I have spoken about before, but now I see the reality of this new venture.
My daughter has curly hair, so I already know her struggles. And I don't want that for her. I want her to love her curls, because everyone else does! But, more importantly, I want all past, present and future to love their curls, too.
A Suvia neighbor introduced me to New Wash. I have loved using this all-in-one product on my complicated hair. If it can handle dry, thin, processed, purple semi-permanent color, then it can handle your hair, too! I was using the regular, but I bought their Rich New Wash, and I am loving the smell!

Closing my doors without notice was never what I was planning, expecting, or looking forward to. I remember when told me about a room I could rent in a salon in the next city over, and 2 days later - April 9, 2008, I was open and ordering business cards......
Waiting as days passed, then months, gave me plenty of time to grieve 😔😭
2020 was a midlife crisis. At the end of the year, I renewed my license ( 20 year anniversary) with the state of California, but I won't be working as an esthetician here. My biggest disappointment was trying to stay online with Beauty Society missing BLM movement and creating darker foundation colors. All of my life, I have mixed 2 different colors together....... and I am tired of feeling that way! I do LOVE some of their skin care products, but promoting them as a sponsor for Miss USA was a let down. 💋
