Projecto O.G stands for Project Organic Gardening. A school based garden in which students from community day can improve their lives, one seed at a time.
This project began as a way to get students to recreate their mind frame and make their experience at Community Day School a positive one. Every Thursdays, students are invited to participate in various garden work. This is an opportunity for students to make up P.E missing assignments, complete their detention in a productive manner, and complete their volunteer hours. Students are taught to be r

Today we pulled weeds, planted, and transplanted. We are excited to be planting tomatos, radishes, beets, and carrots.
Today we planted beets, radishes, and carrots. We also transplanted tomato plants. We are super excited to be back this growing season to expose students to Organic gardening. We had tremendous success in engaging students in the growing process. Enjoy our pictures.

Many want to make a difference in a young person's life, but I could honestly say, these girls, have made a difference in my life. They have overcome so much at such a young age: true resilience of our youth.
