LJ and Jumpin Jones had know idea about what kind of impact they were having…and the higher ups were taking note👀

Little did they know, there were evil forces getting nervous and beginning to conspire against the budding dynamic duo.

The more people began to be inspired, the less controllable their minds were.

This great evil is determined to see them fail.

For the duo there’s only one thing on their minds and that’s to keep doing what they know best…

“I just didn’t quit.” - Nipsey

The first 2 slides are exactly 4 years apart. On day 1 I was just trying to figure out my place in this world. Discovering what my contribution was going to be. Unsure of what direction to go, wondering what I needed to do to reach my full potential. All I knew was I loved how it felt to jump.

There’s a term the Japanese use called ikigai which means your reason for waking up in the morning. It represents the intersection of 4 key areas:

- What you love

- What you’re good at

- What the world needs

- What you can be paid for

I went through so many ups and downs between work, relationships and moral dilemmas. The one thing that was consistent in my life was the burning desire to be better in every area of my life.

Jump rope was one of my greatest teachers on this journey. I saw first hand that growth is frustrating and exciting, hard, and extremely rewarding. I learned that sometimes you have to hit rock bottom before you get to the top of the mountain. And the cycle repeats without end.

I learned that repetition is the difference between the good and great. Frustration is part of growth. Failure is actually just information. Self-worth never fluctuates. And you can’t lose if you don’t quit.

This post is about all of the blessings that came with the struggles of doing my best to express my full potential through jump rope. I’ve gained so much that I would have never imagined on the day I picked up the rope.

Exactly 4 years later I can confidently say, I found my ikigai.

Excited to see where this next year takes me but I have strong faith that the lessons will compound exponentially🙂‍↕️🙌🏾

I believe that everyone, whether I understand how or not has contributed to my advancement. Thank you to everyone who has supported me in my growth, not just in learning to jump rope but in every aspect of life that has made me, and continues to make me, a better human.
