Lip filler can look bad for multiple reasons. It’s mostly due to poor technique, wrong product choice for the client, incorrect placement of filler, injections placed too deep, using too much product, and repeating injections too frequently.

This client came in to see me for the first time several weeks ago. She wanted her lips corrected. She thought she needed more filler to correct her disproportionate lips. As you can see her filler was incorrectly place, had migrated and terribly overfilled margins. Being honest and straightforward, I informed her she needed her filler fully dissolved before I would add anymore filler.

I did 3 treatments with Hylenex one week apart. Hylenex is a recombinant hyaluronidase which absorbs and dissolves HA filler. After the 3rd treatment her previous filler was fully dissolved. I then waited 3.5 weeks before replacing filler using my injection technique for a more natural and beautiful appearance 🙌🏻

FYI most fillers are dissolvable! If you are unhappy with the results don’t just wait around for them to go away on their own. Ask for your filler to be dissolved if you dislike the outcome or don’t love it anymore.
