After about age 25, circulation begins to gradually slow. Blood flow to the skin decreases, meaning less oxygen, fewer nutrients, and slower delivery of everything your cells need to repair and regenerate. At the same time, waste products aren’t cleared as efficiently.

This slowdown impacts collagen production, cell turnover, and overall skin vitality. The result? Duller tone, loss of elasticity, fine lines, and slower healing.

At its core, aging skin is undernourished skin.

Support circulation, and you support everything that keeps skin functioning like it did in its prime.

Acne is not just a surface-level issue, it’s often a reflection of what’s happening inside the body.

For an MD to deny bloodwork for further testing and say the equivalent of “we don’t know what’s going on with your skin and we don’t plan to look deeper so get used to it” is all too common and it’s a cop out.

I’m in the process of finding someone who can read labwork, and together we will partner with someone who can order the labwork. This is my 2026 focus for you all!

It was created from a deep belief that symptoms deserve answers, not band-aids. I'm building something that I wish already existed regularly in healthcare and wellness, and this is my heart work. I’m looking for someone who truly understands the gut–skin connection and wants consistent, aligned clients without necessarily needing to market themselves.

• Create individualized nutrition and lifestyle protocols
• Provide supplement guidance within scope of practice
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation
• Collaborate with esthetician to support skin outcomes

Topicals can calm the skin — but they don’t fix the why.
Acne & rosacea are internal signals, not surface problems.
Use topicals for short-term support while we address the root cause from the inside out.

Botox temporarily stops communication between nerves and muscles by blocking acetylcholine; the signal that makes muscles move.
Some alternative topical options are available. Peptides like Argireline® and Snap-8 mimic the effects of Botox on the skin’s surface. They relax facial tension by interfering with the acetylcholine release process, and that can soften expression lines.
This combined with an application of face tape or frownies each night can mimic the effects of Botox.

The liver plays a significant role in the development and management of acne because it is a primary organ responsible for detoxification and hormone metabolism. When the liver is compromised or overburdened, it can lead to imbalances that manifest as acne. Here’s a detailed explanation of how the liver affects acne:

1. Detoxification and Toxin Overload
The liver is responsible for filtering toxins from the bloodstream. These toxins can come from:
-Environmental pollutants
-Processed foods
-Alcohol
-Medications
-Hormonal byproducts
When the liver is sluggish or overwhelmed, it cannot efficiently process and eliminate these toxins. As a result, the body may attempt to expel them through the skin, leading to inflammation, clogged pores, and acne. This is particularly evident in “liver acne,” which often appears on the jawline, neck, chest, and back. These areas are linked to the liver’s detox pathways.

2. Hormonal Imbalances
The liver metabolizes hormones like estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone. If the liver is not functioning optimally, it can lead to:
-Elevated estrogen levels, which can increase oil production and inflammation.
-Imbalances in testosterone, which can stimulate the sebaceous glands and lead to clogged pores.
-These hormonal disruptions are a common cause of acne, especially in women, and are often linked to menstrual cycles or hormonal changes.

3. Impact of Diet and Toxins
Certain foods and environmental toxins can directly affect liver function and contribute to acne:
Food Preservatives: These are purged through the jawline.
Pesticides: These are purged through the neck.
Chlorine: This is purged through the chest and back.

There’s a lot of factors for us to talk about together and I do not diagnose health conditions, but if it’s above your jawline, chances are it’s from your gut health

Photos taken 2 weeks apart. This client has always had what I believe to be digestive rosacea. She did a digestive overhaul with 2 different supplement formulations and this was the result. Skin health comes from within.
