ious/precious gemstones. Earth and Sea is a true fusion of the beauty and energy in the earth and the power and radiance of the oceans. We are excited to bring the Spiny Oyster (Espondilus) to the United States. Each creation becomes a work of art when the shells, oysters and gemstones are combined to bring out their natural beauty and energy. The spiny oyster is beautiful, exotic, and powerful. It has a rich history in the Inca culture of Ecuador. There are only two places in the world it can be found; Ecuador and off the coast of Mexico. The Incas used the inner part of the oyster combined with jewels and gold to create jewelry worn by Inca royalty. They believed the spiny oyster had healing powers. The Incas believed the orange spiny oyster was the color of communication, energy and fertility. The spiny oyster helped with depression, the function of the heart, the immune system and was a stimulant for the nervous system. Orange is a power color. It means vitality and endurance. The color stimulates enthusiasm and creativity. It is also a healing color. Wearing orange in times of stress or shock can help balance your emotions. It can encourage a willingness to embrace new ideas. The Incas believed the purple spiny oyster was the color of good judgment. It was a color for those seeking spiritual fulfillment. Purple is a color for peace of mind. It is a good color to use for meditation. Wear purple when you want to encourage fantasy, mystery, and imagination.
