Today I bought 237 pairs of gorgeous red thermal. Feedback from the last two years tells us that our unsheltered neighbors really loved the bright red.

Ours don’t say ‘ I love you’ like the ones in this picture.

But in their own way .. they do.

When one fairy asked us about county resources for caregivers of memory loss patients we were so excited to find these two ..we want to make sure everyone knows about them !

1) The Skyview Day Club, from Seniors At Home. This a super friendly, free Zoom Program M-F from 10-12 , for people all along the memory loss spectrum. Participants are greeted by Amy Takemoto who guides them through content including exercise, live entertainers, music therapy, brain games, and art appreciation. Yesterday she picked the subject of fruit and everyone got to shout out the names of fruits they could think of.

Currently the group tends to have 5-10 participants, some joining in with a caregiver and others by themselves.

The Mayor of Fairfax, our Steph Hellman, asks us to support an amazing family who has opened their arms and their door to a traumatized young lady in her 20s from Ukraine. Top of their list is a bike for her. Ideally new or in v good condition. A chance for her to feel the healing feel of cycling as she computes what she has come from, and explores the safe harbor these lovely people have given her.

Leafy Friends update. Good Fairy Carrie delivers 60 plants and a few giggles to families supported by Adopt A Family

A Good Fairy circle. I met Aileen at China Camp tonight where I was having a dip on the way home from picking up more amazing leafy friends from Paradise On Picnic.

A quick chat later. Aileen now has an ‘ I believe in fairies’ sticker on her paddle board. Her old tent and blankets are coming our way, and we said thank you with sunflowers.

Thanks Jim! Your second hand sleeping bag and gift of new underwear are on their way to help people currently homeless.

Thank you Good Fairy Indigo!! When asked to donate sunscreen for folks currently homeless she said, ‘ why don’t I make some?’. And she did. With input from our friends in several agencies who support this community we hit on a simple recipe and smart packaging.

The first 100 units were presented to Ritter House to be given away at their customer appreciation day today.

The labels are gorgeous!
